Why? Who looses their spot because of him. Im done debating you guys.
You provide zero logistics on where he fits. You just homer out amd say he makes it.
Its like having a discussion with a flat earther.
I'll let you jock sniff on him for two more games.
See ya in two weeks.
LOL.. you aren't exactly using logic either. They don't select a kid like Deuce whose Dad is a person in the building. He got a 53 spot the second they called him on Draft day. Like the Jones family isn't 100% about Nepotism as it is??

Thing is, he might actually earn the job as it is going. He's passing the eye test for sure.

Im not a psychic. I just know what I would do.
Do you know he is? Some on here do.
No, I don’t know for sure that he will (or won’t) make it on the 53. How could I?

Do I have an opinion on it? Absolutely. I do feel pretty sure that he will make the team and will contribute, however, I try to never say never until we know for sure

My thing is, I try not to act like something is a foregone conclusion if it is just my opinion. I say I think Deuce will make the team but I could be wrong. I can tell you the reasons why I think he will, but until he does, I could be wrong.

I have no problem with different opinions than mine, because we won’t know until they set the 53. I like Vaughn and like his running style out in space but I’m not about to tell anyone that he will make the team for sure because I don’t want to look foolish.

In your post above, you just sounded like you knew for sure he wasn’t going to make the team… when we all know there is a chance he does… particularly after his first game that he played well in. I just wanted clarity on if you thought for sure that Deuce wouldn’t make the team because it sounded like that is what you were saying.

In other words, if you tell me you really don’t think Vaughn will make it, then I never even respond to your post because that is your opinion and you could be right. However, if you tell me you know he isn’t going to make it, then that will prompt me to ask how you know that for a fact, because IMO, there is definitely a chance that he does.

Had Simi blocked his man (CB), Deuce would have ran for a 46 yard TD on that play.

I was thinking the same thing. Kind of funny. LOL

I go back to the FWST forum days...well before this forum.
Not really. Calling me out, calling me a jester. How many of my posts on this topic have you read?
Whats funny is how easy it is for someone on the internet to call people out. And then lurk back to whatever corner they crawled out of.

You're obviously mule-headed stubborn. Everyone knows Deuce is making the team. You're just here to start arguments. And stop with the insults with me.
No, Im definitely not going to back down from what I said. Not based on Duece having a couple nice carries against the JAGs of the Jags.
So is the whole premise of Duece making the team is that we just hold him back? Let him play against guys who wont make rosters? Thats the plan?
That is some high level, 3D chess stuff there. We're just gonna spring him on the NFL.
So giving Davis and Dowdle all those snaps against Jax. Was that just to show case them. We gonna swing a trade for them?
Nah, we just need to see them compete. To see if they're up to the level of Duece Vaughn. And we hold back Duece, fooling teams. Making them think hes just a 4th or 5th stringer. Then when the season starts, bam, Duece is loose.

Gotcha. So he makes the team because his dad is a scout. And its a great story that Jerry wants to milk.
Wouldnt surprise me. Jerry is an idiot. I defended him over the years. No longer. GM Jerry would have been fired years ago. Nepotism is only part of the problem. Narcissisism is the bigger one.

Ive only gotten this deep into the Duece thing because of the hype. Big Dog Cowboy guaranteed he would make this team. Others have said he for certain will be Pollards backup. One poster said Duece will be the team leader in overall yards.
So, have you called them out too? Or asked to clarify if its only their opinion? Were you concerned enough about those posts to interject what Im assuming you mean to be rationality?
If you did, I missed them. And I do read what you post. And respect your views.

100% agree. I am just hoping Deuce proves them right for once because it is great for us fans.

Im just hoping two RBs prove good enough to backup Pollard. Im not a Dowdle or Davis hater and actually really like them both. But its not cool to like them.

Alas, this is not the place for rational takes… there are some here, but they are not in abundance.

Anyway, to answer your question: I might would ask them how they know for sure if they quoted me, as you did, and seemed to be offering a guarantee of the outcome, as you seemed to be in your reply to my post. However, I’m sure there are some people on both sides who are stating their opinion as fact. There always are.

Thanks for answering my question earlier, and I’ll just leave this topic with: I guess we’ll see in a couple of weeks or so if he makes the team or not. If he doesn’t make the team, feel free to look me up and remind me that you were right. For my part, if he does make the team and contribute, I won’t be badgering you with anything. We’re all wrong about things from time to time.

He’s limited.

Too little and can’t pass block.

He does have something going for him:

Our other scrubs are terrible too.

They might just sneak him on as RB3.

Deuce is muscular thick yet agile, quick footed, fast and reminds me of Maurice Jones-Drew. Human bowling balls knocking away defender pins. What surprised me is his vertical leaping catching ability after receiving that pass from Grier. He pops up like a compressed spring and seems to have good hands. The kid is super aggressive.

Sometimes small is a feature, not a flaw.

-Hard to see
-Small tackling target
-Size permits change-of-direction that physics absolutely denies taller players
-Sports-car acceleration

I hope to see 4-5 carries and 1-2 catches per game.
6-10 touches for sure or more as the season progresses.he can be weapon.. hes better than most here thought but some of use KNEW and been ssyig since draft day..wait until hes with Dak and a starting OL with a game plan. etc

You know some of us as a little group have been saying this since draft day that don't sleep on deuce Vaughn just because of his size a lot of us watched the Big 12 as I do because I'm a Texas Longhorn fan and unfortunately I've been on the wrong end of deuce Vaughan a couple of times I've watched him run over Texas Oklahoma Alabama and this year he was the MVP for Kansas State in the Big 12 championship game in ruined TCU's day.. Can people just not understand some football players are just born to be football players doesn't matter their size just like those guys in the NBA who are under 5/8 that can dunk a basketball yeah you remember like mugsy bogues guys like Nate Robinson, and spudd webb others they were not supposed to be basketball players but somehow, they overcame those odds and not only made the NBA but became stars.

Yeah, the kid damn sure looks to be earning his way. Still a lot of preseason left, but it was a very good start for Deuce.

It is easy to see how he could give defenses fits. His quickness is just about unparalleled in the league.
His cutback speed is nearly impossible to react to.
Meaning that defenders cannot react quick enough to square him up.
Give Deuce a crease and he will find it.
