Dez Bryant's mom alleges assault
Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant was arrested Monday after he allegedly assaulted his mother, Angela, on Saturday, according to DeSoto police Captain Ron Smith.
According to the incident report, Bryant became angry when his mother asked him to leave her home during an argument Saturday afternoon. Initially, at a Tuesday news conference, Smith said Bryant slapped his mother in the face, but the police report, which was released later Tuesday, clarified that Bryant allegedly grabbed her by her T-shirt and hair and "hit her across the face with his ball cap."
Angela Bryant, whose T-shirt and bra were allegedly torn during the incident, indicated on the 911 call that this was not the first time she was assaulted by her son.
"I can't keep letting him do this," said Angela Bryant, who made the call from the nearby home of family friend and adviser David Wells. "I can't keep letting him do me like this. I'm tired. I'm going to put an end to it today. I'm going to put an end to it today. I'm tired."

Saturday: "Officers who responded to the 911 call from Bryant's mother did not observe any injuries, and she did not complain of pain at the time, according to the report."
Monday: ". . . after officers contacted Bryant's mother at her home, the report states that she said she had pain in her wrists, hands and arms. Officers observed swelling around her wrists at that time, according to the report."
So, I wonder what happened/who she talked to on Sunday.
I've seen this movie before. In real life.

Atta boy Phillip.
She had plenty of time to injure herself during one of her drug stupors...since no arrest was made during the initial police response I think the case gets dropped considering the record and character issues with "mom".M'Kevon;4622860 said:Per the article:

People are obsessed with being proven right, and those who made up their minds about Bryant long ago believe that Monday proved them right. So go ahead and pat yourself on the back, and keep being butthurt when Dez is scoring touchdowns for Dallas in 2012. Lay down the hateraide while youre at it.

Phoenix;4622866 said:Well, there ya go. "Dez Bryant" is trending worldwide on twitter. And "Marshawn Lynch" isn't. Who'd've thunk?

She simply didn't know better. Just like he doesn't.
I doubt she came from Belair. It sounds to me like he has had the best chance of all of them to make the change.
I doubt he doesn't have some one around him that is trying to point him in the right direction. I'm sure Jerry is seeing to that and has been since his first stupid mistake as a Cowboy.
So sick of the "poor kid never had a chance" crap. He has more of an education than I do. I never went past high school. He has money, I'm sure he has someone around him to help with his issues. He's just making bad decisions, that's completely on him like it would be any one else.
Not every idiot had bad parents or a bad upbringing. They make bad decisions.
I really hate this stupid phrase and the ones just like it. People use it to defend EVERYTHING. Your average person who's worst crime is maybe j-walking has every right to complain about people who commit far more serious offenses. I hear this same thing from people even when people are bashing rapists and murderers also (no I'm not comparing that to what dez did). It drives me nuts.Phoenix;4622839 said:Wonder what this was all about?
