im not even gonna respond to the mall incident, you me and everyone else knows that it was no big deal......as far as getting "detained"...he was pulled aside for questioning over a verbal altercation after he was getting verbally attacked by rappers and was sent on his way...as far as this arrest...I will save my comments on that until we have some details....maybe you should do the same , that way later if he is absolved you wont have to endlessly defend your original position
I agree. I'm not saying he's some felon. I'm just saying he's getting into some really stupid incidents and it's concerning, IMO.

Dez is a young hothead that will squander an incredible opportunity if he doesn't mature quickly. Some young players need mentors and some have had the home training to go it on their own. Dez is proving that he needs a mentor like I need a winning lottery ticket.

I guarantee you, his act is definitely wearing thin at VR. Where there's smoke there's bound to be some fire. There has been a consistent smoke trail since we drafted this guy... Damn... this pisses me off.

Depending on the laws domestic violence can be, "I smmacked the crap out of that beech." My father got DV charges against him for just placing his hand on my mom's shoulder during an argument, matter of fact he got them again whem my mom hauled off and hit him with a pot and he didn't retaliate. Some states and municipalities have it where only men can cause DV.

Like I was saying just a day or two ago, Ben Rogers has claimed for a long time now that there are *way* more things going on behind the scenes with Dez than anyone realizes and that he's a big, big headache for the team. Maybe he's been right...

If Garrett is still here in 2 years- I don't think dez will be.

If Garrett's gone-thats a different story

Dez Bryant turns himself in, arrested

According to police, Bryant was booked after turning himself in without incident. The alleged assault occurred Saturday, police said. No further information was immediately available.

According to KDFW-TV in Dallas, police responded to a family violence call in DeSoto on Saturday night. Bryant was charged with a Class A misdemeanor for assaulting a female family member, police told the station. The woman did not need to be taken to the hospital for her injuries, the report said.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant was arrested on a family violence charge in Texas earlier today.

The details surrounding the arrest are unclear ... but according to local law enforcement, the charge is a Class A misdemeanor ... and Bryant was released after posting bail.

Law enforcement says Bryant's bail was less than $2,000.

When contacted by a local media outlet, Bryant confirmed there was an incident ... but wouldn't get into specifics. He did say, "I'm good."

This isn't Bryant's first brush with the law ... earlier this year, he was detained by Miami police after he was allegedly involved in an altercation outside LIV nightclub ... but he was not arrested and no police report was filed

People you do realize that DV charges can be filed for a verbal altercation, IE an argument and a nosy neighbor calls the cops. He could simply say, "Woman you are making no sense I should slap you," that technically constitutes DV.

How could it not be?

You've got millions of dollars invested in the guy and he repeatedly uses bad judgement which attracts negative attention to himself and the team.

Yeah if it was a family matter I commend him for keeping his mouth shut. That is slang for no comment.

You pretty much covered it.

SIGH

Can we go into just one season without extremely levels of ignorance permeating the some isolated area of the locker room? ust one... That's not asking much. (& I like Dez)

Not a Class A misdemeanor, though. In Texas, that apparently requires injury to occur...not just loud voices.

Who cares about innocent until proven guilty. Or the actual facts. I am willing to bet most here have had a few misdemeanors.

It's all weak. He should not be placing himself in these situations. Do we need to begin naming the incredible numbers of young NFL players that have somehow managed to keep the police blotter clean since signing large contracts over the years?
