Dez checks lying reporter on twitter

95% of the mediots are scum.

I must have part of that 5 percent working for me because they're a pretty responsible bunch that take what they report seriously knowing that once it's out there both we and the people in the stories have to deal with the ramifications. If they didn't feel that way, I wouldn't have them on my staff.

So actually, I think all of the mediots are scum, while most of the journalists are not.

that's why I tend to believe the initial report. I have yet to see Greg just make something up in his reporting.

You just did. This is everything 'journalism' isn't and shouldn't be.

Dez is a fiery guy. Maybe he did get angry about something in the parking lot. But there's an awful lot of assuming going on there by Mr. Simmons. Irresponsible at best.

96% of all journalists are mediots. 95% of all mediots are scum; the rest are too stupid to understand what scum is.

The mistake he made was not asking any questions.

Was Dez visibly upset? Probably, he's always barking about something. We've seen it time after time. However, that does NOT mean he's upset about Tyron getting paid.

Once upon a time, a reporter would go do some research before he released anything. Now, they just tweet anything that comes to mind. Different world now.

Simmons has lost any credibility with me. Assuming context of Dez possibly being upset about something and reporting it as fact? Maybe he just heard the McRib wasn't really back.

I seriously doubt you know anything about Greg Simmons to call him a liar. If you did, you'd never make that comment. I know him well enough to be confident that he afforded Dez the benefit of the doubt that he never really intended to begrudge Tyron his contract. Once Greg had time to consider that Dez's initial reaction was done in haste, he backed off. Both Dez and Greg are good people. I think Dez is simply an emotional guy who reacted at the spur of the moment. He more than likely was simply too embarassed to admit his knee-jerk reaction. He has to face Tyron every day, after all. It's quite understandable, all things considered.

Again, one of his comments isn't true. he either jumped the gun with his 1st comment or he's backed off what he believes is the truth to make dez happy or whatever his reason are. Either way he's not being honest. You can't make 2 comments that are directly the opposite and get the bennifit of the doubt.

Man these "reporters" really have no shame.

Minutes after Smith's deal is announced....

Then a few hours later a reporter from a SA news station posted this...(I took a screenshot just incase he deleted it)

Dez got word and made him fall back like he was being baptized...

Dez is very cordial with the media but if they keep trying to destroy him like this they're going to turn him into a mini Scandrick.

This is excellent.

Why would Dez care what another player at another position is making?

Someone's making money here - somebody put a stop to this at once!

Exactly. When is the last time a player in a contract year said "My owner is writing huge checks!! *** ME!!!" And then kicked his dog?

No one cares about honesty or anything else in the media world anymore. Just make your mark and get your money.

Wow! Austin radio just ran with the story and slammed dez.

If radio stations are jumping on the bandwagon, that's just more irresponsible reporting. Until they get some quotes from Dez or others in attendance at the alleged angry moment, it's pure speculation and journalists should be held to a higher standard.

With how conniving and twisted the media is, I won't be surprised if this is Dez in a couple years.

Randy Moss towards media - "Look i got fined 25k for not talking to y'all, and me personally I really don't care. But at the same time I do answer questions, but for the league to fine me 25k I'm not going to answer anymore questions this year. If it's going to be an interview I'm going to conduct it, so I'll answer my own questions, ask myself the questions and give y'all the answers. From here on out I'm not answering anymore questions for the rest of this season."

Lol that interview is pure gold, Moss goes rogue in interview with media, that stuff was hilarious live! That seems more up Scandrick's alley though, lol.

There happen to be a whole lot more responsible journalists out there than ones who make things up or try to stir things up.

Those who do those things, though, make the rest of us look bad. Sort of like posters who make broad generalizations about a group.

That being said, there are few in the media who cover the Cowboys that I'd be willing to talk to as a player.

Depends on the program. Some radio programs are just sports talk shows and there is no real journalism involved. They just spout what they want to spark calls.

Those that do actual sports reporting should be held to a higher standard, but ESPN (and other culprits) have blurred the lines between the two.
