He's immature. It's who he is. We just have to live with it. A lot more players to worry about besides Dez.
Scared of the real world? haha that's a new one. He loves the game of football and it killed him to be on the sidelines last year. And he thought there was a possibility of that happening again. Can you blame him for being reluctant to find out potentially bad news? I understand the right thing to do would've been to just show up when he was supposed to. But to get all worked up about this in nonsense. Dez Bryant has to be the most polarizing non-drug using, non-criminal athlete of all-time.
You would never know about it if he did.Imagine if Tony Romo did this.
I can't.
This is slanted to leave out the part where he shows up Tuesday but it was too late for the MRI.Per the coach JG:
Jeff Cavanaugh @JC1053 4m4 minutes ago
"Dez Bryant missed an MRI and a treatment on Monday. He missed a team meeting on Tuesday, and he was not at a meeting Wednesday" - Garrett
He was suppose to be there Monday, he was suppose to be there Tuesday and he missed a meeting Wednesday.
You would never know about it if he did.
Are you sure Romo hasn't?
Oh...you are sure because the media bias is only writing these stories for Dez.He has no history whatsoever of being anything but accountable and present for this franchise and his teammates.
So yes, I'm sure.
Yup we showed him.
Since you implied Dez has a history of being unaccountable and not present for the franchise and his teammates I hope you will answer the question everyone seems to dodge. What is his history that makes him be called this by you? I seriously feel like my cowboys bias is messing with my memory because I just can't remember all these incidents. He has no history whatsoever of being anything but accountable and present for this franchise and his teammates.
So yes, I'm sure.
Yep. He's a late bloomer no big deal. T.O. was the same way and it didn't click for him until after he torched all of his bridges. The difference, Dez is not a team cancer. He's immature. It's who he is. We just have to live with it. A lot more players to worry about besides Dez.

What other players have missed meetings in the last few years? I guess Dez is the only one.
You take the good with the bad, and hope there is more good. He's immature. It's who he is. We just have to live with it. A lot more players to worry about besides Dez.

I remember Dez coming to the facility and working out and with his teammates even when everyone said he was weakening his leverage during his contract negotiations. I remember Dez standing on a broken foot and clapping and high diving his teammates after the Giants game last year. I just don't remember what you are talking about.
Thanks for the help.
Greg Hardy did. Rob Ryan missed them, and he's the one that scheduled them. They're both gone now, btw.
I can sorta, kinda relate in a roundabout way to Dez's angst over his injury. Several years back, I avoided going to the hospital out of fear and anxiety that a condition I had would lead to something really bad. I avoided dealing with it out of mostly fear, I guess. As it turned out, my son talked me into going into emergency, whereupon I ended up coming within only hours of losing my life, according to the doctors. They operated and now all is fine, years later.
As fanatic as Dez is about his career with the Cowboys, I'm sure he saw a possibility of his career possibly being in jeopardy and didn't want to deal with it, even if it was a definite longshot. Football means his life to him and the thought of losing it, even for a short while, is probably fairly unthinkable to him.
Anyhow, I was relieved to hear it's something that won't end his season, much less his career. I'm certain he was as well. Not wanting to deal with the problem was simply his way of copping out, I think. I know how that can happen.
So you dodged the question.Dez has no concept of time. It's been a huge issue since Day One. That's why he was assigned a babysitter because basically forgets to go to work some days. Alarm clocks don't work.
They tolerate it because it's not that he's lazy. He really seems to enjoy practice and preparation, and he obviously plays hard on Sundays. It's just who he is.
