Dez is a good player but he's not one of the best of all time

Owens was fairly physically gifted.

Admittedly I forgot about Owens, but I’d still take Bryant’s physical makeup over Owens.

Owens was gifted, but I think the only thing he had over Bryant (from a physical stand point) was speed. He’s a little bigger, but IMO not enough to say that was a huge advantage for Owens.

But Bryant’s freakishly long arms, great hands, leaping ability, catching radius, natural nose for the ball negate Owens speed advantage for me.

Don’t get me wrong, Owens was better overall receiver, but I just don’t think he was as naturally gifted. His inferiority complex drove him to becoming one of the best WRs of all time (3rd best, IMO).

Here is a nice comparison. A

Thru first 49 NFL games:
Dez Bryant 3,330 yards, 33 TDs.
MICHAEL IRVIN 3,696 yards, 24 TDs,

OK. Yes or No question here.
From what you are saying and telling everyone to "mark" it down. You or saying that
Otron to Williams is better for Dallas than Romo to Bryant?

Williams best on roster > Bryant

The guy is just a monster in the Red zone

dez is a freak. I think, if he stays healthy, he can be one of the best receivers to ever play.

Moss was physically gifted but absolutely refused to risk himself over the middle. Moss was the best, bar none, at going up and getting the ball. His speed coupled with his length was pretty spectacular.

And what does Julio have that Dez doesn't? IMO, they are of the EXACT same mold. Julio might have a bit more speed. Dez would have him on jump balls any day..

I mentioned above that Dez is a better physical specimen because some of his natural gifts negate Owens speed advantage.

Julio is Terrell Owens and Dez put together. He's got Owens' size and speed, and he's got Dez' leaping ability, hands, catching radius, etc.

I don't think there is anything Dez can do that Julio can't and Jones is considerably faster. But I do think that Julio would be less likely to play with the kind of reckless abandon that Dez would, which is why I'd probably take him in a jump ball situation, too.

But I consider that a mental aspect. If you were to lump that in for this category, I'd probably take Bryant over Julio also.

Much of Dez's story could play out in a different uniform after next season. Dez could be in line for a $14-18 mil per season extension. And The Cowboys simply won't be able to afford that with their cap situation.

One or two of the following 3 won't end up staying w/the team after their current contracts: Dez Bryant, Tyron Smith, Bruce Carter.

incorrect on all accounts.

Not fair because Dez has had Romo as his QB.

Still am shaking my head at the one poster who says Williams is Better then Dez. Just crazy talk. I love Williams the player but he isn't on Dez planet as far as talent and ability. Williams is not a jump ball guy or a big possession WR with insane body control. Dez is that guy. Williams is a deep route runner that is tremendous at using his body to his advantage and catching the ball. He is the perfect compliment to Dez. But no not better. SMH

Good numbers for sure, but let's not forget what "greatest of all time" means at the top-end:

Jerry Rice (Through 49 games)
4164 yards, 44 TDs

That's ridiculous. I wish I had been old enough to see Rice from start to finish.

That west coast offense be played in with Montana and Young were amazing.
