He's got a point -- too many knee-jerk fans on Dallas' bandwagon. It's a two-faced fan base.

It's actually sickening as often than not. One week, you're heroes and the next, you're bums.
...and then when things don't go exactly like they predict the entire football world has to go on suicide watch. Its so immature. It's the age of everybody gotsta let everybody else know their opinion on a thing and watch me be right. But God forbid if you're wrong.

Whatever happened to just watching the game:huh:

Dak doesn't have to be perfect, but he did need to play better. Why folks seem to think playing better = perfect kinda boggles. The offense bounced back and in a big way, so doubters like myself should feel better. I just want Ws. If they had lost yesterday, I actually would've been okay, because they looked better as an offense.

So no issues over here as far as I'm concerned.
He played awful last week but some criticize him after every mistake. That was going on even during the winning streak. He's still a rookie. I agree about the offense. It did look a lot better last night. Have to cut down on the penalties though. That's my biggest concern.

Yeah, I think it's walking on a slippery slope when fans take a football game altogether too seriously. Football players are only human and as such, they'll be making mistakes, just as fans oftentimes make mistakes in taking the sport too seriously. It's not a matter of life and death. It exists as a platform of competition and an entertainment medium. Unfortunately, it's tough to enjoy when it becomes too crucial to our sense of well being. ;)

I don't know if I'd call them "fake fans" just because they started having doubts about Dak. Maybe they're fake Dak fans, I'll give him that, but they are still Cowboys fans. Honestly, this team has been finding the most painful, heart wrenching ways to lose every year for the last 2 decades, so I can't blame fans for panicking at the first signs of trouble. If Dez and the rest of the team want to shut up the haters and non-believers, the only way to do it is to win it all. So quit worrying about what people are saying, go out there and play your *** off, and do it Dez!

Let me state this for myself.

I said after last week that games like that were what I expected from a rookie in this time of year. I said that this is why I was always for going to Romo when he was healthy.

BUT I said that I believed that the coaches made this call weeks ago. When they chose Dak they chose him for better or worse till the end. Which I said I was fine with and I have no issue with.

So allow me to say that Dak last night answered the call far better then I'd expected a rookie to do. I was very impressed with how he rebounded last night. And I will be the first to admit that.

It boggles my mind that some people still don't understand that this is an argument against Dak, right now, not an excuse for his play.

I think he was just having his QBs back. Between here and the media, Dak took a BEATING this past week. And it wasnt deserved. 1 bad game and an 11 game win streak later.

I just think by doing that he invites more criticism. But that's just my opinion. He can do what he wishes; I just don't think he makes it easier on himself.

Apparently a lot of you did see all the racist crap posted about Dez and Dakota after that game, besides the general whining and moaning about Romo needing to start over Dakota. It's out there it's just not allowed here so don't get it twisted and believe this forum is the norm and even if they don't read that stuff they have family and friends that I'm sure report it to them. Dez is who Dez is, he speaks on it if you don't like it burn his jersey which half on here should have never bought one with the dislike they have for him.

I agree i just wish he would shut his mouth sometimes. I also wish Jerry would do the same. Monkey see monkey do? Who knows.

I hope this "fake fan" nonsense doesn't have any legs. It's simply a mechanism to marginalize the opinions of fans with opposing viewpoints, and there are plenty of ways to do that already.

Yes, they were. Earlier in the season, we avoided them for the most part. Lately, maybe we've gotten too careless with our success being so comforting. Let's hope we don't get overconfident with each succeeding win. I'm sure JG will caution them about it, though.

LOL Fake Fans. Talk about one of the most overused phrases in sports. Does that line of logic apply to oplaces as well? Am I a fake American if I don't blindly support everything this country does and every program it rolls out? Am I a fake husband if I disagree with my wife about something?
Maybe Dez was a "fake WR" all of those years when he wanted the ball and he wasn't just going with the flow?

People watch every game for years-sacrifice hundreds of dollars each year to watch them, sacrifice sleep, time with family, etc. But, because they want to see Tony Romo in, and criticize the play the last few weeks they are fake fans? LOL okay. I am so sick of millionaire athletes, actors, actresses talking down to the regular folk.

What a joke.
