Hilton is great #2 but he is nothing but a garbage time WR in offense that throws it 40+ times a game when Luck is in there.I thought it was interesting when the Colts were dangling TY HIlton before the deadline.

Dez has a huge cap hit and we don't utilize what he can do. We also seem to potentially play better without him.
If the team decided they were willing to part with him:
1. what do you think the trade compensation would be?
2. What would you trade him for and why?

He led the league last year. Youre right though in that he gets a ton of oppurtunity. I like the speed dimension he adds to an offense.
Hilton is a looter in a riot, not better than Dez.I would take Hilton over Dez 10 times out of 10.

He has very little trade value, we might get a third and a fifth for him. He's just not very good... Nobody will do it though.Dez has a huge cap hit and we don't utilize what he can do. We also seem to potentially play better without him.

Id have to say hes worth at least 6 - 1st rounders. Hes a Jerry Rice, Randy Moss type dude so yeah. Flame on.
Hilton is just a WR2? He led the NFL in yards receiving in 2016.
He is on pace for his 5th straight 1000+ yard season, averages 16 yards per reception, and missed only 2 games in his 6 year career.
I'd prefer that he and Dak work to take advantage of what Dez does best. Replacing a No. 1 receiver isn't as easy as many seem to make it out to be. If we are a playoff team this year, which we look to be, then we're going to be drafting near the bottom of the first round.
There were no receivers taken this year in the bottom of the first, but three taken last year — Will Fuller (21), Josh Doctson (22) and Laquon Treadwell (23). We can even throw in Corey Coleman (taken 15th).
Fuller has 15 receptions for 311 yards and 7 TDs this year. Doctson has 11 for 189 and 3. Treadwell has 12 for 142 and 0. Coleman has 6 for 62 and 1 (but has only played in two games). Dez has 38 for 439 and 4.
If you're happy with the receiving corps we've got (outside of Dez), then trading him might make sense. However, I believe that corps would not be as good without him. Defenses would adjust their coverage and it would be a lot more difficult on our passing game.
Dez is 29 so I'm all for working to find his replacement, but I would not be willing to let him go until someone proves that they can be a No. 1 receiver.
