You say some dumb anti-Dez things but this is the dumbest....... sorry he kicked your dog but let it go

A dozen teams would take Dez Bryant at 2/25m with no gtd money
38 catches on 85 targets.

The only chance is a team like Jacksonville that has to spend to meet the cap floor.

Exactly. The passer rating and completion percentage when throwing to Dez is laughable compared the every other receiver on the roster.

Beasley is much more productive than Dez for a quarter of the price on a hell of a lot less targeta. When we throw the ball to Beasley we win. Most of our losses are due to forcing the ball to Dez which kills drives.

Only way Dez is gone is if we cut him, nobody is trading for him. The team will draft his replacement next year and then cut Dez a year later.

I agree that Dez’s production and cap hit don’t match.

It would be an epic ballsy move if JJ actually traded him......for anything.

Unless he gets much more productive- our trade partner would only have to give up “willing to take that contract” as far as compensation.

He's not worth what they are paying him. Never was. I say he restructures, or, at least I hope he would. Not sure about the cap penalty, so, don't release him. Unfortunately, Dallas doesn't have anyone to replace Dez. Who, himself isn't a #1 WR IMO. He is Dallas' best WR, but, that's it.

Dez does better in a gunslinger offense like he had with Romo.

Dak is more methodical and cautious as a young player so there’s not as many run around until you get open plays like Tony had. He also doesn’t have great accuracy or touch deep which hurts Dez for jump balls.

Dez isn’t Julio (best athlete in the game with speed and jumping ability) and he’s not Irvin (great route runner). Dez would be great with a QB like Rodgers or Stafford
This. Dez (no spring chicken) and with his contract wont bring better than a 2nd or 3rd round pick IMO. I don't see anyone offering better unless their in pinch.

Pre June cut next year, for example, would have a dead cap hit of 8 million but save 8.5 million.
Doubtful we cut him next year. However, the 2019 offseason he would only have a dead cap hit of 4, with 12.5 m in savings if cut pre June 1st. Something to think about if he still can't jive with Prescott and newer faces need deals.

Don't worry about when-what hits the cap.

They gain the amount of his base salary (12.5M) which is all that matters.

When only matters if they have no other contracts that can be restructured which is not the case.

We will extend him first....Dez is a lifer and his skill set will age well.......like Anquan Boldin

If we add 4 years and 30m in new money with 25m gtd that will take his cap hit way down to 8m

Total of 6/55m with 25m gtd .....turn his 2018 base of 12.5m into a signing bonus

Cap Hit
2018.......................8m
2019.......................12m
2020.......................9m
2021.......................10m
2022.......................11m
2023.......................13m
