TO, RW11, Crayton, Miles Austin, Witten. They were all on the team in 2008 and we lost a win and get in game 44-6.

i was thinking about how awesome the dez-romo back shoulder throws were, and how good romo was at it.

Then I started thinking about how much I enjoyed romo throwing to T.O. I loved it because romo would drop back, you would see him launch it, the camera would change, and Owens was wide open. It was smooth.

Owens played 3 years and dez had 3 good years. Which receiver did you enjoy more? I thought Owens was more fun to watch.

Terrell Owens
2006 85rec 1180 yards 13 td's
2007 81 1355 15
2008 69 1052 10

Dez Bryant
2012 92rec 1382 yards 12 td's
2013 93 1233 12
2014 88 1320 16

Dallas didn't win anything with either of them. Give me Drew Pearson and Michael Irvin.

Wow looking at the yards, it would seem Dez. But maybe the game had changed a lot between the time Dez and Owens played. Owens is in the same tier as Randy Moss, their stats are pretty similar. Personal, if Miles didn't have those hamstring problems, I think he could've been a better receiver for us than both of those years. When Owens left I was all doom and gloom but Miles exploding onto the scene made me forget owens.

I’ll take Dez any day of the week and twice on Sundays. Some of those circus catches only a handful of guys could make.

At one point, I think Dez had better hands, which he seemed to lose later on in his career. But Owens had a problem with dropped balls. 49er fans mentioned it too.

No pick required for TO.

No mega contract for TO.

We're comparing Owens in his mid 30s to Dez at his peak, and honestly, against more stringent passing rules that changed even between '06 and '14. The league has watered down the passing rules so freaking much...

No one in their right mind would even consider that Dez was a better player than Owens.

On a side note, I went to look for how average passing yards per game changed between the 2000s and the 2010s, and while I couldn't find that, I did find a pretty good article showing the crazy inflation of passing stats over time.

Someone put together videos of all td receptions for TO and Dez with the Cowboys.

TO would be 3 yards open. Tony just needed to hit him.
Dez was usually covered tight, and Tony had to fit in the ball, and Dez had to execute.

With TO, all the magic happened away from the camera with TO's route running. Then Tony and TO played pitch and catch for the TD.

Dez plays were more spectacular. They took great execution by Tony on the throw and Dez on the catch. You saw the magic. Much better high lite reel stuff.

It sounds like I should be picking Dez, but I really haven't enjoyed the Cowboys like I used to. The last real excitement was the first couple of years with TO.

If it's really who I enjoyed more, it's TO, because I just enjoyed the Cowboys more back then.

They were both very good in that window, but TO was better longer.
They were both Diva -ish.
I don't remember TO having on the field meltdowns like Bryant's infamous Seattle game where he just came undone.

It would have been cool to see them play together in both their primes.

Dez was kind of a one trick pony with out-muscling and jump balls in my opinion.

TO could run routes and he would do this little shimmy step right before breaking that was killer. Cooper does that really well too and it reminds me of TO. They're both so graceful and quick about it, and it's effective.

TO might have been a locker room cancer (with several teams), but the dude could BALL. He definitely deserves to be in the HoF for his ability to play. Of course, his off-the-field behavior with teams might prevent that....politics.

I'm bored, who do we never bash? I want to bash someone new...how about Travis Frederick? Yes, he is singularly responsible for our struggles since 1996.

We just love bashing Dallas players and each other on this forum, don't we? Okay, just tell us who to bash today and we get at it!

How about the Lucky Charms mascot, Lucky? I hate that smarmy little know-it-all.

That wasnt the question.

The question was which 3 years, on the Cowboys, did you enjoy more?

Dez put up more Catches,Yards, and TDs than Owens and made more spectacular plays. He was also a top 3 WR in all of football during those years. Dez wins...

How’s this...

T.O was more enjoyable to watch knowing we were watching a dude who was on the “decline” still put up amazing numbers

Dez was fun while he still had his speed but boy did the wheels fall off that wagon in a hurry and is completely washed up at 31

Imagine them both at the same age.

Now consider the fact that Owens was 33-35 during his time here, was named first team all pro, caught 35 TDs, and put up well over 3000 yards.

Dez is 3 years younger TODAY than Owens was when he began his Cowboys career and look at him.
