Just don't get the lovefest for Jackson, Not like the guy is wowing himself out there and is so good we gotta keep him off the ps.
There isn't a lovefest for Jackson although you man lovers it is......guys that are for keeping Jackson over McFadden is that McFadden isn't special. Just another jag running back. Jackson can do the same things Mcfadden can but Jackson also contributes on special teams. Here is a break down of Mcfadden.......
Last season
6-16 0 TDs....2.6 yards per carry
10-31 0 TDs.....3.1
5-16 0 TDs......3.2
20-64 0 TDs.....3.2
17-32 0 TDs.....1.8
10-11 0 TDs.....1.1
14-53 1 TDs.....3.7
For his career he averages
3.5 TDs a year
667 yards a year
12.9 attempts a game
53.9 yards a game
2 years ago he was healthy look at this
4-15 0 TDs......3.7 yards per carry
12-37 1 TD.......3.0
18-59 0 TDs.....3.2
11-40 0 TDs.....3.6
14-48 1 TD....3.4
13-20 0 TD.....1.5
7-14 0 TD......2.0
8-21 0 TDs......2.6
12-29 0 TDs.....2.4
11-27 0 TD.......1.2
4-13 0 TDs....3.2
Sorry but that isn't special. Call it lovefest whatever you want but Jackson will make the roster over McFadden and should. Without Zeke and Morris then ya you would have to keep him and nothing that Jackson has done shows me he can't give you those same stats if not better.
Jackson has ran almost completely behind 2nd and 3rd string OL and his stats for preseason
12-47 0 TDs....3.9 yards per carry
14-43 0 TDs.....3.0
Jackson did have a run of 20 yards with the starting OL that was called back on T. Williams holding call but would change his stats to.
15-63 0 TDs.......4.2 yards per carry
So on average with and without that carry are as follows
26-90 0 TDs......3.4
27-110 0 TDs......4.0 (without the bogus hold call)
Ya I take Jackson over McFadden not because of lovefest but because he can do the same thing as Mcfadden.....but plays special teams, cheaper and younger, also has upside and can improve
