Did you think there were bad calls/non-calls in the Super Bowl?

Seeing the Rams get 3 penalty calls on the Bengals - on successive plays - on the Rams last ditch drive while playing in LA across the street from NFL Network...yeah.

The Bengals had 2 penalties the entire game, then wham. Los Angeles needed the calls to win in Los Angeles, and they suddenly got them.

Starting to question why I even bother with this thing. Some of you go on about conspiracies, but if you really believed them you wouldn't bother. Only a moron would keep following a sport he thought was "fixed". I refused to believe so, because humans make mistakes, but the ending to this SB was a joke.

Maybe I just need to move on and find other uses for my time? It's not like I'm going to miss the Cowboys winning another Super Bowl.

Thats why I enjoyed Roller Derby back in the day. The fix was in all day long but it was exciting. lol

Go Cowboys!

On the phantom defensive holding play it should have been a false start on the Rams. Both OTs and the RG moved before the snap.

Yeah, i just don't know why they can't be consistent (if you are truly trying to call a fair game)? Either call it all game or not at all. Having multiple penalties called on the last drive when the same stuff has been going on since the first snap is bogus.

You have the rare moment where Cowboy fans are intently watching two other teams play and witness bad officiating that go against both teams, but then these same fans will claim like clockwork “the refs are out to get uzzz” when it comes to our team.

There’s no league conspiracy; there’s just bad officiating.

I shouldn't have been shocked, but I was, when Connor Williams was called for holding again in the 3rd quarter.

Wonder what it will take for the NFL to have full time officials. The only professional league in the world that does not have them.

Cant people just stop this nonsense

I agree you are exactly right and everybody I was watching it with commented exactly the same.

The officials seem to stay out of this game for the most part .

It was a good game to watch moved along well without a lot of penalties until the Rams got down to the goal line then that bogus holding call pretty much gave them enough downs to get a touchdown.

The face mask and that holding call or both game changers
They were letting them play until the end. Then they got picky..

Didn’t seem to be many flags until the end. Then they got picky. Flags kind of swung the game.
Yeah I remember thinking in the third qtr how great it was that the officials were staying out of it. You did have the two lowest penalty teams in the NFL there.
Then in the last few minutes they decided to get some screen time.

Overall I think the refs did a good job. The PI at the end was the only call I really hated.

my thoughts are I would much rather the refs hang on to their flags on a boarder line play than throw it. Just let em play, even the missed calls I really don’t mind unless it’s just overwhelmingly obvious. It’s the ticky tack called flags that I hate.
I thought they missed the face mask but the closest official was on the sideline so it’s understandable he didn’t see it
I thought most calls were legit calls though I hate the game was decided more by penalties than play

If they were gonna call that holding call that I didn’t think was a hold then why did they miss the big time face mask on the TD pass. How do you miss that but see a ticky tack holding..

I agree
The calls were legit I think but they didn’t call them earlier
I just hate that a really good game ended up being decided by penalty over play

Yeah the holding call was something that happens every play and rarely called. It makes it look like it’s throwing the game after missing the face mask that was legit..

I think if I was a coach, every player on my defense would be wearing gloves that match our opponents jersey
Orange gloves on white jersey kinda asking for a flag lol

I am, and yes. However, the call in question was actually holding, and was pretty blatant.

Yeah the refs actually had their choice of holding, PI or illegal contact on that play. I don't know how anyone could call it "ticky tacky." But it was par for the course to me.. One thing I DID notice was that I don't recall any offensive holding calls. There must have been a clear directive to let 'em play in the trenches. And a lot of that played out with DB/WR matchups too until that last drive. Seems like the refs didn't wanna throw a lotta flags.. and the game was better for it. Though I have no explanation for how they could justify not seeing Boyd almost twist Ramsey's head off.. other than they just don't like him.. Which I totally agree ..

Lol. Good idea. Sounds like something bellycheat would use.
