Diggs is clearly a major disappointment. He plays soft in coverage and he doesn't tackle. Not a good combination. What do other players think when they see him running away from contact?

On one Lions TD yesterday he was playing 6 yards off the receiver when they Lions were inside the 10 yard line. It was too easy for Detroit.

He embarrassed himself yesterday as well as the team.

Which 2nd contract does this team NOT regret?

For all their circlejerking about keeping their own, they sure get pennies back on their dollar.

I don't like CBs who don't tackle, yet people on this board have told me it doesn't matter for a cover CB like Diggs. If you on off these people don't talk down on Diggs tackling now.

Deplorable pattern: we pay the big money for contracts, the player performance tanks. Maybe we should let them all walk until we can get out from underneath the Prescott albatross contract. It was stupid to sign him. Did Jerry expect Dak to step up his game this season? Dak hit his ceiling 3 years ago. We all saw it.

He'll probably be another contract they regret. This guy is soft, he doesn't have the elite coverage skills to be shying away from contact the way he does. He’s not getting turnovers, Dan Quinn leaving was the worst thing for him.
He doesn't make any effort to tackle or cover. None of the players seem to care about winning, just getting paid. No heart at all.

I really dislike Zimmer's defensive schemes. It's only made worse by collecting guys that were built to work for DQ who now have to play in a different scheme that doesn't really work for them.

Apparently, his contract has some fine or small print titled No Tackling Clause.

Never wanted him signed
I said it repeatedly BEFORE the contract and idiots on CZ were upset

Diggs, Dak and Parsons should be off this team if you want a physical tough team

The conversation is interesting to have if participants of the conversation are willing to be reasonable...

Your stance is pretty obvious.

My opinion is that there would be quite a few coaches held in high regards that would take a CB with ball hawking skills but doesnt tackle over an average CB who tackles.

You sound like you are 100% against that idea with no budging at all.

Again, my personal opinion is that a smart coach would listen to the conversation.

If being offered a CB that can get you turnovers and QB's dont throw to his side often, or an average CB that can tackle...I think a smart coach does the math..."2 business decisions a game that total maybe 15-20 yards a game and possibly whiffing on a tackle in an important Playoff game....vs....an average corner that can tackle?"

I might take 8 INT's a year and half the field shut down over an average tackler if guaranteed 8 INT's and half the filed usually shut down...over a couple business decisions a game.

We can’t generate any pressure. It’s a CBs worst nightmare.

LOL i said the same thing last week on another post......i stated i would have never given him another contract, and i was argued down and that he was an "elite player" . He's far from elite. actually hes an average player at best and extremely soft and scared of contact.

Has he even got close to a pick this year? I bet we see more of the same with Bland when he's back.
