Direct Tv is getting killed

Just called their Customer Service number and went off a bit on them. The girl was very nice but she sounded exhausted. She said for the better part of the last hour they have been hammered with nothing but calls from people who were ticked off about the switch. She offered me 6 months of showtime, (Which I don't watch) and HD programming.

She said that she has heard the same thing from everyone and she had no idea that one team had that many fans who were that passionate about their team. She said the call center is bottlenecked with calls over this.

Good for them I say.

Just get HD. I had the game on Dtv ch 723 from start to finish in all its HD glory. I'm surprised she didn't tell you this.

Watched the whole game on the HD channel and it never switched.

By the way just got my HDTV Friday and got to watch Ohio St last night and the Cowboys today for the first time ever in HD...Unbelievable how great it looks.

No, because if enough people make enough noise, when they renegotiate the terms of service, maybe this won't happen. Nothing changes unless people make it known how they feel.

This is the NFL's fault, Directv used to show all of the games no matter what was being shown on your local channels. Then the local channels started crying that no one was watching their lousy game of the week and they forced the NFL to make DIrectv make these consessions. Direct has to have some backbone and say NO! our customers are paying over 250.00 a year for this and they should be able to see every game. The moron on the phone from Directv tried to tell me it was an FCC rule...BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
