I've got a Samsung Smart TV and I cannot find the app for it, have the same problem with Apple. Selected that Apple TV+ and YouTube showed up and I don't know how to get rid of that and replace it.

If anyone can help me, I won't call you a geek......unless that works but you will be my mostest favoritist geek. A geek god.

I signed up for Apple TV through Roku a week or so back. It's cheap and should be because they have no content so far. I'm watching See and it's pretty good but there's not much on there. I looked at Disney (and it was also on Roku) but it didn't do much for me. I've seen all the movies at one time or another, can't stand comic book stuff, and have no kids at home. The Nat Geo portion of it interests me, but they're going to have to add a little more before I'm interested. Don't know about the smart TV, but you'll get them all through Roku.

Yeah, I called them and they told me the apps for Apple and Disney are not available, which is dumb, they can push the apps out through an update. That's why I keep it connected to the router.

I am going to try the Roku because there are other services coming out like HBO Max and there's supposed to be one from Universal but I've not seen anything recently.

If I can get 6-8 hours out of one a month, I consider that a good deal at those prices.

I think Apple rushed it to try and be there at the same time as Disney+ and I have yet to hear much positive about the 4 series they opened with but See looked like the most promising, a GoT rip it looks like to me but that's OK.

I signed up for it last night. Not only are they offering the usual free month trial, but after that, it's only $6.99 a month. Really reasonable in my opinion, especially since they include 4K UHD/HDR format in the base package at that price. That is extra on Netflix. My only disagreement within this thread is that I didnt really think their library was THAT big. Unless I missed a large section of it somewhere. I can say I was pleasantly surprised to see they had some National Geographic content on there. In fact, I already watched the Titanic show with James Cameron. Haha

I did kick the idea around of their ESPN package but I'm not sure how much I'd really use it. I'll check this service out more over the next few months and see how I feel about it. So far though great content at a great value.

I got the bundle package this evening with ESPN+, watching the Stars game right now on it, and like that it offers boxing on it. Didnt know that if you sign up for the package and have Hulu already they give you a credit so that is nice. Bundle seemed like a good deal to get all three for one price, especially since I am losing PS Vue in January.

I'm in the Vue boat as well. Probably be moving over to YouTube TV. I've had ESPN+ in the past and currently got Hulu so I figure if I sign up for Disney+ I'll be bundling as well.

They'll get steady subscribers just from parents of kids that love to rewatch the same movies over and over and over again

I have a Plex server my 5 year old niece has access to.

That Hulu is the one with commercial ads.

True, but commercials feels pretty reasonable for that price.

I'd go Hulu Live TV. A similar product, less expensive, and one less interface to manage if you have Hulu. Live just fits right in alongside your current Hulu content.

Do you know if there's any way to bundle Hulu Live TV with no commercials and Disney +?

Hulu Live TV is essentially digital cable, so there's no way to avoid commercials there. For the Hulu on-demand content, it doesn't sound like there's a way to get the ad-free plan in the bundle.

With that said, with Hulu Live TV they include a credit for the ad-supported Hulu. There may be a partial credit for the ad-free Hulu? Not 100% sure.

That's kind of what I had figured (and feared). I've been spoiled by having had DirecTV with the DVR for so many years that I just can't tolerate wasting my time sitting through commercials. At this point, if I'm not watching something I've previously recorded, I don't have the patience to sit through commercials. Live football games are about all I can handle.

Commercials are never reasonable for any price, I pay to avoid them. I would gladly pay to watch football games without them.

That's why I am not going for the bundle, just the Disney+. The commercial free Hulu isn't part of it and they are not going to cannibalize what they already own and make that part of the bundle. They are trying to add value to the Hulu with adds by bundling it.

They already have 10M subscribers since they started this but I didn't see how many were bundled but I did see some Hulu subscribers advising to stay away from the bundle as they were not giving them any breaks. I don't really know as I do not have Hulu, I looked at it but nothing tripped my switch. I can justify The Mandalorian for the 7 bucks a month.

I will gladly pay to avoid commercials that insult my intelligence and piss me off and make me think less of my fellow man because they'll pick an insurance company because of some jock. If Manning and Rodgers are so keen on insurance, why did they choose NFL QBing over the lucrative field of insurance sales?

The worst time of the year is coming up, jewelry ads. This is where they try to trick some man into thinking his wife will deliver on her promise before you married her because you give her some trinket. That one poor schlub drives his wife out into the middle of nowhere, pays to have a tree lighted and figures if she doesn't deliver this time, she's walking back. If every kiss begins with Kay, what'll it take to get a little tongue? I am not giving up a grand for a grandma kiss.

I have Hulu but it's through a sweet deal I have for Spotify. I hardly even watch it because of the commercials. I think I even have Showtime too but have never watched that either. I seem to be tuning out from watching too much TV in general.

And I find the crass commercialism to be insulting as well. My life feels complete without your products fellas! Thanks! And it irks me that Insurance companies can justify spending millions and millions on annoying commercials. (especially Rodgers and State Farm, how those things were ever made is a mystery).

What is the time range here? That's a crazy amount. I had a friend who was spamming my plex server with Blade Runner (terrible movie). I asked her what the heck, and she said she puts in on in the background. I put an end to that really quickly.

Quick side question, any of you 4K UHD/HDR users tried any of their 4K content yet on the Disney+ app? I feel like the picture for HDR is a little dim. Just curious if others have experienced this?
