Disrespected on NFL Network

They had their four commentators picking possible SB matchups. Just matchups, mind you.

Pats-Falcons
GB-Pats
Seattle-Chiefs
Giants-Steelers

Not one guy had the Cowboys even getting there. wow. Bulletin board stuff.

We're not playing the NFL Network.

Dak and Zeke will play okay because they're at home and they've played in huge games in front of huge crowds. The playoffs won't be too much.

We have a rookie QB and no rookie QB has ever led a team to the SB and one of the teams that are in the playoffs, the Giants have owned us this season and in elimination games the past decade. As much as I want to see the Cowboys in the SB I'm not sold on us. We have defensive issues and that's been our achilles heel in the playoffs the times we've made them and we have to see if Dak can handle playoff pressure. There's 3 teams in the NFC, the Giants, Packers and Seahawks that have QBs who've won championships and have played in 5 SB's between them. Dak is going to have his work cut out facing any of these QBs in do or die games.

I'm not saying the Cowboys can't reach the SB but right now I don't have a real good feeling about our chances. That could certainly change in the coming weeks. Off weeks seem to do us more harm than good, we never seem to come back looking sharp and ready to play. Although we're playing at home we're not a great home team, one of our losses was at home this season. We definitely have a chance but there's something deep inside of me that's not feeling it. I don't like the way we mailed it in on Sunday and there's a feel to this team that reminds me of the 07 team. I'm not counting us out but we're going to have our work cut out for us due to the inexperience we have at QB.

Huh? Did you mean to say "If the Cowboys ever play on the NFL Network..."?
Why would the Cowboys be fired up for playing on the NFL Network? Haven't they played on the NFL Network before?

Sorry, I don't understand your statement. Maybe you can elaborate? Thanks.

It was sarcasm.

The only way Dallas will play against the people who actually "disrespected" them is if the guys from the NFL network line up in pads against them. Which of course is the only way they could actually do anything about the "disrespect".

As you know, Dallas will never line up against the guys from the NFL network... so it was sarcasm. In this case, extreme sarcasm.

My (obviously unclear) point was that the team isn't going to get mad and play harder against the Packers/Giants/Falcons, etc. because of what some guys on the NFL Network said. Therefore fans who are insinuating that this is going to make Dallas play harder are, you could say, barking up the wrong tree.

Cowboys - Chiefs is my bet. And we will romp it.

Did I mention I like Johnny Walker Platinum a lot? I mean a lot. Like really a lot. Like so much.
I had Cowboys Raiders until Carr went down. Then I switched to Cowboys Chiefs.

I can feel it in my bones!

Thank you for the explanation. It was on-point and understandable, even to one as slow as I. :)

Cowboys have the toughest road to the Super Bowl so it is realistic to think they will not make it. Asking for people to provide predictions is not dissing the Cowboys.

Our defense is 4th in the NFL in points allowed. Other stats dont really matter to me. Its also trended very upward over the last 4 weeks. Zeke is used to playoff atmosphere, kid simply doesnt know how to lose. If we ride him and make critical third downs using daks legs or even his arm. I dont see any team that can beat us.

Can't blame those who aren't picking the Cowboys, it's been 21 years since our last SB appearance and we have a rookie QB. It has nothing to do with disrespect, we don't have a battle tested team. When you come out of nowhere like we did this season with a rookie QB sensation it's hard to take you seriously. It's not like anyone saw this season coming. Everyone keeps waiting for Dak to fall apart and look like a rookie and the playoffs can bring a young player back to earth real quick. Nothing compares to playoff pressure. Everything is jacked up a few notches in the playoffs because it's do or die. There's no we'll bounce back next week if things don't go well, it's wait till next year.

Yeah, Atlanta and Kansas City are perennial Super Bowl participants.

What you're saying is easier said than done. Zeke isn't used to NFL playoff atmosphere. It's much harder for a rookie RB to take over a playoff game at the NFL level and there's several HOF backs that will tell you that. Zeke has been apart of losses this season, this is the NFL not college football. Not saying he won't run well but everyone we play will be bent on stopping him and putting the game on Dak. As for Dak he's going to have to pass the ball efficiently if we're going to win.

You don't win in the playoffs with a QBs legs, you win their arm. I can see a few teams beating us because I don't wear a homer cap. The NFC has some very sold teams and one of them handed us 2 losses this season. We didn't play the red hot Aaron Rodgers that's lighting it up now. Not saying we can't get it done but we have to play mistake free football and stop shooting ourselves in the foot with penalties.

Because no rookie QB has ever won a SB. Then again, Romo has won 2 wildcard playoff games in a decade, so I like my chances with the rookie QB.

Neither team has a rookie QB and the Cowboys have a way of screwing up a great season. We just mailed in the season finale like the 07 team did when all Garrett talked about was maintaining our momentum into the playoffs. It wasn't like Dak was pulled last week when he was playing great, he was 4-8. We should have played our starters a half.
