This story may not be true, but all I know is if a guy can't make it w the Raiders he ain't making it anywhere else.

After it was clarified where he heard the information. It was a gang up on a guy just reporting what he heard on the radio. It was pretty obvious

Everyone please read the title of this thread. It reads as a "disturbing rumor". Most rumors aren't true. Just like that rumor in which Bryant was pissed in the parking lot when Tyron got his contract. Take every rumor with a grain a salt because its probably not true.

An athlete ultimately needs to listen to their own body. I have torn both of my calf muscles playing basketball and MMA and got completely different advice from two different doctors. If he trotted out there and tried to give it a go and felt uncomfortable that should be his right.

Had an ER nurse tell me my ankle, fractured in three places was a mildly sprained. I walked on it for a day, as painful as it was. Was in emergency room the second day. Also, separated my shoulder in MMA, was told it was fine. Went back out even though it hurt terribly, immediately separated it again. Now I really can't do anything with that shoulder.

An athlete has to protect his own body even when doctors clear him.

Sorry. Clarifying it after the fact on the second page is not remotely the same thing as structuring it properly in the first place. When the posts are coming in on a hot topic, what happened is exactly what you would expect to happen.

Had he been clear where the info had come from and that it was dubious, the reaction would have been completely different. That's pretty well established in the hundreds of threads detailing dumb things said by the Dallas media on a daily basis. Like anything in life, it's all about presentation. You can't present something poorly and then pretend to be shocked by how it's received. Or rather, you can, but nobody's going to feel too bad about how that goes down.
