well that means we are not looking at

POUNCEY

in the draft thank god

It doesn't rule Pouncey out in my opinion. Proctor's money isn't guaranteed unless he makes the team, which isn't certain. The Cowboys are just covering themselves incase they don't get Pouncey or someone they feel that can push Proctor for a roster spot.

And even if he is on the team ..... every team in the league has guys just like Cory Procter.

That is why the roster is not just two deep.

No they don't. Didn't you hear? The Cowboys are the only team that don't have 3-deep starting caliber players on their roster. Every other team in the NFL could start a different 22 guys each week!! Oh noes!!1

Everyone knows you can't have pro bowl backups but Proctor sucks and we know it. There has to be a better option somewhere.

Ideally youd want a rookie C/G to tale his place this year. At least they would be improving and give you reason for hope

People are up in arms over a backup... LOL

I love it. Just the same when people wring their hands over Martellus Bennett's twitter account.

Oh don't get me wrong, but apparently there's something there if they're keeping him around.

The Cowboys are the only team that would give this bum a job.

Even though I really want us to improve the center depth, I don't believe this is remotely true.

If Proctor were an unrestricted free agent, there would be several teams interested in him as a cheap backup at center. He would probably do best in a zone-blocking scheme, though.
