Reeves' responses were satisfactorily vague to leave that open to interpretation.
But we do know what came out of Rich Dalrymple's mouth can be taken with zero credibility.
Sorry, but I believe that Reeves has more integrity than a team mouthpiece.
That depends on what the "one thing" was. It certainly looks that way, though. But who knows at this point.Hostile;2622364 said:Wade has officially been castrated. Might as well pull the plug and ask Shanahan to fix this thing.

This whole "one thing" that kept him from signing on the dotted line is killing me. I can't imagine what it is.
That's fair. I may be jumping to unfair conclusions. I'm just skeptical.theogt;2622365 said:That depends on what the "one thing" was. It certainly looks that way, though. But who knows at this point.

That was his opportunity.
Reeves just shot all of that out of the air.
Anything he says now should be viewed as the lie that it is.
Seriously, what planet do you live on? Shot what out of the air? What on earth are you talking about? They both said the same thing.Alexander;2622379 said:Rich Dalrymple said it for him.

"We had two very good days of dialogue with Dan Reeves, and both the Cowboys and Dan had an interest in working together," Dalrymple wrote. "By Wednesday afternoon, we were unable to reach an agreement on all of the details of a contract, and both parties were comfortable with the fact that Dan would not be joining the organization. Jerry (Jones) holds Dan in the highest regard as a friend and a tremendous contributor to the history of the Cowboys and the NFL."
I'm sure this was something you wanted to do right? "Oh yeah, no question about it. I really and truly thought the deal was done. And after several days of discussing it and so forth we basically came to an agreement and so I thought it was done but with some of the concessions that Jerry had made he ended up putting some things in there that I wasn't comfortable with that he thought was important to him and just felt like if we couldn't come to an agreement it's best we part if we both weren't' going to feel comfortable with the thing."

Just talked to Dan Reeves who is now back home in Atlanta after he couldn't come to terms with the Cowboys about joining them.

But there is no way around it. Jerry screw this one. Bad. I had finally warmed to the idea of bringing Reeves aboard, yet nope.
Man this is going to be a long offseason.
