I think it has plenty. There were decent to good receivers to be had, and yet the team took a bust lineman who can't play while they continue to ignore the receiver position.
Again, they could have had either one if they really wanted them. Draft position is an excuse.
Jackson looks like he'll be a key contributor in Philadelphia while Bennett will always be TE #2 in Dallas - at best.
Drafting Marten in 2007 had nothing to do with not drafting Jackson or Sweed in 2008. Two different drafts.
Draft position is not an excuse. It is a reality. It takes two teams to make a trade happen. How much did you expect Dallas to trade in order to land Jackson? You brought up a 6th rounder, but it may have cost more. I am not going to fault Dallas for not being able to pull a trade up. There is no way of knowing if they tried or not. It is unreasonable to think that it would have been easy to just make a trade up happen.
