Just a bad answer all the way around that does him no favors. Maybe it's not reflective of his personality, his approach or his future. We can only hope. But it's still a terrible answer.

You really couldn't be more wrong. Asking people to back up their own opinions (or pointing out that they can't) is holding them accountable.

In this case it's like proving God exists. If your only argument is "We don't know for sure" - then you should probably just butt out and stop demanding proof that you know doesn't exist - for either side.
