He will come back as the swing tackle backing up Free/Flo IMO.

Free has outplayed Columbo by a wide margin so there is no reason to put Free back on the bench when Columbo comes back. It is still good news because McQ is the backup right now for Free/Flo. I suspect that if one of them went down they would move Bigg to tackle and bring in Holland or Procter to play guard.
 Really?!?! I'm being serious, here. Has Free plyed that well? I know his name hasn't been called much, and that's a good thing, but has he really plyed better than Colombo was playing?

He should only come in if Free gets hurt. It'll be nice to have him there as a quality depth through the rest of this season should Dallas need it. There's really no need to rush him back IMO.

Agree, Free absolutely pancaked someone for the SAINTS in the first half the other night. Romo gave him some love for it too.

This is interesting, folks. Free has played pretty dang well in Colombo's absence. I still think we'll insert Colombo back in the starting lineup and re-evaluate the situation in the offseason. What do you guys think we should do with Colombo/Free?

Free looks out of place. He is fat, soft and looks very Al-Johnson esque.

Hope Columbo gets well fast.

one should always look at who praises a player or who hates on a player to see what their past record is. Free looks solid but weak as regards strength and would need to become a real technician to be a very good Tackle. He will never be a all pro. He CAN become a pretty good to maybe real good one. BUT it will take time to get experience to really perform at his best.

2010 starting left tackle.....Doug Free. Left tackle is his NATURAL position. Flozell= Fat/slow/old Free= Young/ athletic/ mobile. BOOK IT!

I am still holding out hopes for the 2 seed, until we are actually eliminated from that race. If we can somehow gain that seed, it gives Columbo 2 more weeks of rehab and he should be good to go for the Divisional Game.

All he cares about are players bodies.

Kinda worrisome.

You must have liked how the young packer Rookie Clay Mathews Jr made Flo look like a fool on multiple plays during the game. Look, Flo has had a decent career, good even. But the clock doesnt stop for anybody. His days are about done.

anyone thinking that Free could start at LT now and be as good as the Hotel is dreaming. Free still has a fair amount of wood to chop to be that good- if he can be.

Flozell is strong, that's why he remains on the team, but his kryptonite is speed rushers (i.e. Dwight Feeney, DeMarcus Ware). If Flozell gets his hands on people he could use his power, that's why I believe Flozell should move to Left Guard and Columbo move to Right Tackle while Free stay at left.

You don't move Kosier. Kosier has been our best pulling Guard in space this year in the run/screen game. Leonard Davis is good as well but tends to whiff in space.

No, Have you? Have you considered you just MAY be having a reading comprehension problem? I said, VERY CLEARLY...that Free would be ready to take over the left tackle spot NEXT season. Nowhere in my posts did I say THIS season.
