It's been a tough season for Roy, there's no denying that. I do think that he can be effective in this offense. Now, unless he turns into T.O, I don't think he deserves the money or the draft picks that were given for him but I still think he can be effective.

In the red zone is where I think he can play the best and in time, I'm sure he will find his niche'.

I'm just glad that Austin has turned out to be the beast he is and together than can be an effective tandem.

I have been hard on Roy for his drops and his attitude during the interviews.

He seems to be getting the mental aspect straight over the past two weeks. The physical part should follow soon. He was pressing too hard to prove he was all everybody wanted him to be and disprove the naysayers, which were many. Once he gets past that and just goes out to play football he will be fine!

Who was the shoulder fake to though? Roy Williams on an underneath route in the zone. You know as well as I do that selling the route is doing your job. Roy sold the route, Romo faked the throw, Brown bit on the fake, Crayton scored.

Please. That play was all Romo -- Brown would have bitten regardless of who was there, be it Roy, Crayton, or even John Phillips, because that's what Eagles DBs do, they anticipate and jump routes, looking for the big pick six.

Unfortunately for them, Romo has been there and done that and he gives the most amazing shoulder and pump fakes in the game today.

Roy dropped more balls and ran more wrong routes this Sunday. Did you see how much action he got after changing his route, turning what was supposed to be a flag pattern into a post pattern? The only one he fooled was Romo and after that, Roy's day was done.

Who gives a flying what he says -- he is not playing sound football and until he does, his prima donna ways aren't going to fly. The Lions weren't bad in spite of him, they were bad in part because of him. No discipline, no toughness.

He is getting the mental aspect straight? How can you possibly say that? He is making up his own pass patterns as he goes along and Romo can't trust that B.S. because Roy is going to turn in when he should have turned out and Romo and Garrett know that **** can be really costly.

So you are saying Romo would never throw that ball to a wide open Roy Williams and Sheldon Brown should have been covering Crayton 1 on 1?

Yeah, that's brilliant. Purely myopic, but brilliant.

No, it was the safety's fault, who was Mikell I believe. They reviewed the whole play on NFL Network. When Crayton motioned out wide, that safety was supposed to cover deep left, but Mikell stayed in the middle. When Romo saw that, he knew what he was going to do before the ball was even snapped. It was a great playcall by Garrett, and a dumb play by the safety to not follow over. It was a lose-lose situation for Sheldon Brown.

For weeks I have tried to avoid threads about Roy even though I would love to speak my mind. This time I am. You cannot put a price on a team first player. He is respected by the entire team even if the fans and media don't. His QB loves him (I do think he lacks some confidence in him and it is Roy's fault and he acknowledges it). On Crayton's TD he played a role of drawing the defender out of the Zone. He blocks. I am sorry to all of hsi many detractors, but these things matter. He contributes to our wins. I would love to see the stats too, but I want the wins.

i have never been an "RW guy" but after reading those comments, how can you not root for the guy to succeed?

Go RW
Go Cowboys

Making up pass patterns - now that is the first I have heard that!

He couldn't have answered that any better. However, I want him to stay late and work on his hands and route running. He's obviously got talent, so hopefully he can put in hard work to maximize that talent.

I am confused because he wasn't a concern for the iggles. Sheldon almost pulled a hamstring on Romo's shoulder fake, lol.

What struck me on that play, because I saw it right away, is that RW11's and Crayton's role on that play should be swapped. That should be RW11's TD with Crayton pulling the coverage off. He has to know that. If he really wants that type of role back, he has to stop talking and start catching the damn ball when its thrown his way. They are going to need him to make a big play at some point in the playoffs and he better be ready to deliver. If he drops another one at a critical time and they go on to lose the game, I'd say that would be the tipping point. The team would seriously have to look elsewhere next year.

I was smiling ear to ear reading that.

Makes you kinda root for the guy

Either he actually meant what he said or he really wants that $4 million dollar roster bonus coming to him in March.

Yeah that was the comment during the game, I cant remember who but they said reviewing the tape the Eagles paid alot of attention to him. Was either Spagnola or Broaddus I think.

And here I thought I was the only one that noticed that, lol.

They had a bash Roy thread and I was about to mention it but I said to myself, "why bother" and held my tongue.

It is really as simple as that.

Troy Aikman said I was jealous of Miles because he made it to the Pro Bowl and I didn't

I seriously doubt Troy Aikman said this.

I like the fact that Roy Williams is putting the team first and feels the only person to blame is himself.

However, he really needs to stop saying Tony Romo and Jason Garrett have lost confidence in him. To me, statements like this have too much ambiguity and just seems like he is making excuses about the lack of balls thrown his way.

I was surprised to see as much bracket coverage on Roy as they did because of the emphasis that they said they were going to place on Miles and Jason.

Mickey Spagnola also said that they did the same thing to Miles Austin, which is why Jason Witten seemed to be open so much.

They really are in a catch 22. I like Roy but if I had to game plan against the boys I would take my chances with Roy and single coverage instead of letting Miles and Jason get off. However, there is our running game, lol.
