heh, yea. time for me to go read shakespere to a dog and have more luck on the comprehension part of who i'm talking to.

been fun. sorta.

But you've gotta admit that it fills the lull in the off-season. :laugh2:

anyone with sense would quit saying such extreme stupid things, but here we are, huh?

jones is a puppet master who never gives up control.
except when we win.

It has nothing to do about whether we win or not. It has to do with when he gave up control. From the beginning, Jimmy was basically in charge of all personnel. Likewise when Parcells was here. The end result was that each of these times we did win, or at least in BP's case, went from perienniel 5-11 seasons to three winning seasons in 4 years. From '94 (when Jimmy left) until BP got here, Jerry ran the show.

Maybe some of you can't comprehend it but that's not my problem. Jimmy and Parcells had more control than other Cowboys HC in the last 20 years. That's a fact.

like i said - any excuse to lob out to keep the hate alive and refuse to give jones any credit at all. you got nailed for saying something stupid, i said you'd be along shortly to contradict yourself so you can keep hating, and you didn't let me down.

any excuse will do.

we have been through this a million times, you still will only see it YOUR way. i understand what you're saying and agree with a lot of it. but i also will give jones credit for being a part of those superbowl seasons. like it or not, he was. now i know you'll diminish it or hate away and at this point i just don't give an oversized zit on a monkeys buttocks.

when you want to start making sense i'd love to talk about it. but if every road you travel on must end at JONES SUCKS even if you have to build the roads to get there, later dude.

Are you sure Quincy wasn't sharing his stash with you?

I would love to have played for Jerry Jones. Some slightly above mediocre years topped off with some gutless gagging in a big spots and I'd be on my way to a huge contract.
:lmao: This is foolish. No way in hell have our players been soaking up huge contracts and not bringing anything to the table that would help us win a Super Bowl.

This is nuts!

I'd guarantee if Jerry fired Wade tomorrow and coached the team himself and we went 0-16 there'd still be posters defending him to their deaths.
I will defend Jerry forever. I don't care if he's never done anything of importance without Jimmy Johnson, and I don't care that he's running around in circles like he's totally gone Al Davis on us, when he speaks, I listen.

who are you arguing with here? not me. then again i never said jones was a puppet master who never gives up control.

oh, except when he does and hires people i like.

it's not my fault common sense befuddles you.

It will never happen, but if Jerry had the chance to get Bill Belichick. He'd hand the keys to the Ferrari to him on the coaching level and no player could go over his head. If you're a strong enough coach/manager and the owner and the owners employees wouldn't/couldn't ever let it get to the point where you're underminded.

Say what you want about players going over Wade and Garrett's head for the term of the season, so that we can continue to attempt to make something out of that season. But those players are no longer here. The coaches still are.

if winning is all that matters , how is it a success for Parcells to lose but when Wade loses everything is a failure?

Maybe because Parcells drug this team out of the sewer and Wade is kicking them right back down into it?

please explain ...our offense and defense has been better under Wade than it was Parcells....and i assume our special teams are going top be improved this season......Parcells has done nothing that Wade could not have done except be an *** to media

Parcells inherited a garbage team and the only players left from that team are Greg Ellis and Flozell Adams. Wade Philips inherited a much better team with a bunch of players from the one Parcells built.

too bad Parcells didnt know how to use them better or maybe he would have got the same results Wade has

which would be a fluke 13-3 season with no playoff wins and another 9-7 season with no playoffs. yeah Wade really knows how to use these guys that was evident by that 44-6 beating and watching his players quit on him.

thats what cracks me up anything Jerry or wade do that is good gets shot down as luck ......Bill does nothing more and gets praised for building the team that you say Wade was lucky to win with........and i guess Bill never lost a game here huh?......
Bill sucked as a Coach his game planning was awful and boring with no imagination his player selection was just as bad ....he ran a bunch of used up cast offs (Parcells Guys) way past their prime and after failing with them ..brings in more....fact...Bill would have past on Ware, Romo, and T.O. he did however draft a string of useless camp bodies.....he did hit on a few but overall without Jerry his drafting and free agent pick ups would have been horrendous...all he did was instill (some) discipline to the organization....nothing more...so get off his jock

Very succinct. In fact, Bills greatest contribution IMO was not even on the field, but in bringing back a focus to the organization. Bill helped Jerry realize that the team needed a clear gameplan regarding player acquisition and scheme development. It was actually after Bill left, that this vision became apparent_aggressive vertical passing game/power running (Garrett) & aggressive attacking 3-4 (Wade).

Actually Bill also did Jerry a favor by taking all his "guys" w/him to Miami. Otherwise, Jerry probably does not promote Ciskowski. I don't know about anyone else, but I take Ciskowski (a Jimmy guy) over Ireland & Bill every frikkin time. Ireland & Bill could not draft an OL to save their life. Thank God they hit on Witten (barely) otherwise they would have completely sucked w/their favorite position group too, TEs.

Now Dallas drafts & acquires "football players" instead of Bill's "guys". HUGE improvement.

How exactly do you (barely) hit on a draft pick?

Did we draft Witten or not?

They passed on Witten several times. It was serendipity that he was still there in the 3rd.

Every team passed on him at least twice. That's what happens to third round picks.
