keep on fighting the good fight.....its way more fun than enjoying your sports team

Rooting for Jerry over the Cowboys is rather odd.

take out defending and put in attacking and you're there, dude.

it must suck to hate that much.

That makes no sense. If I didn't care about the Cowboys then I wouldn't care about Jerry's mismanagement over the years. It'd be similar to how I feel about Al Davis and the Raiders, I could see what's going on but it wouldn't matter since I don't care if the Raiders lose or not.

it makes perfect sense when you let your hate boner subside, bach.

look, i don't like a LOT of the moves jones has made. i think he's made some progress over the years but no, apparantely not enough cause we're still spinnin. it would be great to get another GM in there *or* see what stephen can do - which i do like that possibility.

get it? i don't care for jones as a GM. HOWEVER, he bought the team and can dress them in pink if he wanted to.

there isn't a person who's ever posted on the internet anywhere in the world by now who doesn't know you HATE JONES (the GM that is, you say).

but most of the people in the world also realize it's jones' team and he can run it as he pleases.

what i, and many people, simply do not get is why every single time there's a thread about jones you have to come in and say how much jones sucks.

it's not defending jones. it's just sick and tired of the same version over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again from you.

we get it. so to what point does it serve for you to say JONES (the GM) sucks for the 10,349,993,284 time?

THAT is the point of most of us and you keep saying we're defending jones.

we know you love the cowboys. everyone posting on here does. there are just a vast majority of us sick and tired of JONES SUCKS you spout every time you get the chance.

i had my own run with the OL and took a year of my own bash parade in here and got called out for it a lot, so i chilled out. with romo it's less of a concern than say bledsoe, but we could still use a better OL.

i just don't get how it helps you as a person to say JONES SUCKS every time someone mentions his name. personally, i'd not want to be a slave to such "hate".

do you agree your constant and tireless whining makes people want to soil themselves and throw it at you?

like i said, the people you say "defend" jones are not doing that to the level you push it to, so your post to start with makes no sense.

start with something stupid, it rarely gets better after that.

you miss the point....someone could write "I saw a great movie last night" and you would quickly respond with " with Jerry running this team im surprised any good movies ever get made"....its old news...we know how you feel..and its way over board....
brush aside all the hatred and realize hes actually one of the best owners in the league and has done the single most important thing you would want from a GM...he puts together talented rosters.....it hasnt always worked out but its not cause he is as inept as you think he is...
and he is nothing like Al Davis...Al has stuck with his losing plan for many years and is convinced in it.....JJ has tried MANY different approaches to get the right results...it just hasnt gotten done lately....but rest assured he will keep trying till it gets right.....

Where does Tony say anything about Wade? Last time I checked, Jerry Jones was owner when Parcells was here. Maybe Tony is saying Jerry needs to let whoever is the coach of the team, whether Wade or anybody else, coach the football team.

Along with stating, "Coaching is the coach's job", Dorsett also stated, "I would love to have played for an owner like Jerry Jones."

Tony Dorsett would have played just as hard for Jerry Jones as he had for Tom Landry. Why? Because that's how a true Hall of Famer would carry himself.

On the other hand, some posters/fans would have just shown up and pocketed millions from Jerry Jones because... well... they would have been playing for Jerry Jones.

Point is, Dorsett made an observation based upon his time as professional football player. He didn't state it out of spite. If he had, he wouldn't have said that he could have played for Jerry Jones. His opinion is pretty neutral. The same cannot be said of all Jerry Jones critics.

sure i do. you just don't seem to notice. i just hang out in the political zone a lot. but you do have a point that i let bachs constant JONES SUCKS get to me.

bach and i actually agree a lot over there! (gasp!)

i don't have a lot of the forum telling me to chill out on a constant topic, do i?

no.

but now it's just kinda funny you defend one persons constant bashing by bashing another persons alleged constant bashing. : )

can you at least see *that* irony?

I guess. I just don't understand why Jerry has so many fans or defenders with what he's done.

Oh yeah, I could've took Jerry Jones' money just like the rest of 'em.

Tony is right though, the coaches should be doing the coaches. And it'd help to have some good coaches too.

You could have taken Jerry's money AND won 3 Super Bowl rings with Jerry calling the shots. ;)

many people try to balance it out, not just harp on their own hate for the man.

i know of very few people who would call jones a good/great gm.

many people are not defending jones in as much as saying "geezus christ dude, let it go" cause we're tired of the constant JONES SUCKS at every single opportunity.

can you not see how that gets old? can you not see how in the end it serves no other purpose than to vent cause jones isn't going anywhere?

what i can't understand is why you and bach can't seem to take "stop the constant hate" as jones defense when it's not.

it's just wanting a break from the "whine".

most people would "bump" the turntable if the record were skipping. bach just keeps on skipping.

yeah but that's what Bach does. I'm used to it and while we're in a 12 year playoff win drought I believe, you can't argue much with Bach.

so are you saying switzer was calling them then?
are you saying the "puppet master" only puts down the strings when we win?

for someone who's saying jones is a control freak and will never let anyone do anything, you're sure quick to take away or misdirect the credit when it suits you.

you sure do let your hate make you say some of the stupidest most contradictory things.

don't tell me it was all johnson cause then that blows your "jones is always the puppet master" argument. you can't say "well jones did what he should THAT time" cause it's self serving to your own views.

like i said, you let your hate make you say a lot of things that simply don't add up except that we get it.

you hate jones.

i'll bet you that you can't go a month w/o bashing jones. wanna do an avatar bet on this one?

Well, Switzer and Jimmy were both great coaches, but we all know JJ runs the organization top-down.

Heck, you even say it yourself.

who's arguing?

i'm just saying "stop the whining".

you and he seem to take "stop whining" as jones defense in as much as preservation of our own posting sanity.
