Patrick Q. Crayton is by FAR my least favorite Cowboy of all time...if he were to not play one game this season I would consider it a successful season on that aspect alone....the man is a tool.

I hope he gets injured I hope his tounge falls out of his mouth !

I have no idea what was going through his mind, but he made absolutely zero excuses for it and for that I think from a fan standpoint maybe we should lighten up.

No, he said he didn't think Romo made the same read as he did so he didn't think the ball would be coming his way. Not exactly taking the blame.

That said, I appreciate what he did for the year, however, IF you talk, you best back it up. That's all I'm saying and I think most on the board as well. When the lights are brightest and stakes the highest, you must perform. You remove benefit of the doubt when you talk trash and don't deliver in those times and that's the issue, IMO.

And FWIW, Terry Glenn IMO definitely has the best hands on the team contrary to what seems to be repeated here constantly. His career is probably done, or will be soon, but to me there is no doubt in that category.

I have no problem with Patrick's recent statements. He had a good season, its just a shame that two plays from the playoff game has villified him in the minds of a lot of fans. I think its unfair to pin that entire loss on Patrick. Had the defense stepped up to the plate to end the 1st half, no one is whining about the things Patrick says today. That said, I think Patrick will have an even better year than last year.

And for the record, I don't fully believe he quit. I believe him in his statement that he was unsure whether or not to keep running or not. Breakdown of in-game communication from qb-to-wr. For examples of 'quitting' on a play see: Randy Moss.

Yeah good for a guy who talks smack and then embarrasses himself on National television and in the first round of the playoffs by dropping a sure TD.

and lets not forget his idiotic predictions of scoring the most points in a season, Yeah alright lets all get behind him woohoo.......................
schmuck!

Crayton can be cocky all he wants, that's the first part of being a champion is having the attitude that no team can beat you. Crayton messed up in that one game, but all year he was sort of studly.

Let's not turn on him, we're seriously going to need his hands and tackle breaking, and he can turn the punt duties over to Pac.

I don't know what the whinning is about. Who cares about what anyone says in June. It's freakin June. I seriously doubt the Browns are sitting there circiling there calender going,

"oooohhhh Crayton said that their team is playoff contenders, and they should make it superbowl with the team they have. WE MUST BEAT THEM!! RAWR!!!!"

please, he spoke the truth. Screw a stupid playoff berth, or victory. This team's goal should be the superbowl. End of story, no matter how you wanna cut it, if there goal is anything less, then they deserve to fail.

We're not just playoff possibilities, now we're contenders. As contenders, we're one of the top teams to beat, I believe.

Oh, Crayton, you journeyman genius, like the Boys weren't playoff possibilities last year? Like the Cowboys weren't "contenders" last year? Like the Cowboys were not one of the top teams to beat last year?

Dumb jock. Loudmouth.

Just shut up and play like the journeyman receiver you are.
Jerra, my idol otherwise, had a brain fart when you gave you that deal last year
Maybe if you had not given up on routes and maybe if you had played like a receiver ought to play opposite T.O. you would have gone to the Super Bowl.

By the way, Cray, just shut up!

I like that he is not letting the giants loss, or the fans keep him from walking in the confidence that he has in himself and this team.
Keep talking Crayton, they will learn to not doubt you.

He said his drop ate him up and that he thinks about it every day (Crayton bashers didn't like that he couldn't shake that play and move on, btw), but that slowing to look back to Tony to verify his read on the second play happens and so that one didn't bother him as much. That's not shirking responsibility.

I agree with the rest of your post, but should add that it was the Cowboys organization that said he had the best hands on the team, and we just repeat it.

You want someone who can walk the walk after they talk trash....

Id rather have my entire defense talking all game than my number 3 WR act like he has done something in the league to warrant some listeners to his rant.

Crayton smokes pipe..

It's obvious he's still the same clueless :mule: he was last year and his heaping helping of humble pie after blowing it in the biggest game of his life hasn't changed that.

It's bad enough when a great player says something foolish, at least they can usually back it up. Crayton can't and didn't when it counted.

That means you shut up until you can back up your words.

This guy still hasn't figured out that part of the equation.

All he does is give people an excuse to laugh at him, and thereby embarrass himself and this team.

He did let his play do most of his talking. He had a helluva season last year. What has he said this year that's so wrong? He's right, this is a SB team, this is a talented team. I still don't know what he said for him to be called a blabbermouth and for fans to be so down on him. The guy can play, he proved it last year...

Most of the world just doesn't like big mouths! That's all there is to it. It has really nothing to do with whether he is right or not. It's the sheer arrogance of flapping your gums and then when the time comes when you can validate what you've been flapping about, you give up and let your team down. Yes, other people are to blame as well but they aren't flapping their gums are they?
