Yeah good for a guy who talks smack and then embarrasses himself on National television and in the first round of the playoffs by dropping a sure TD.

and lets not forget his idiotic predictions of scoring the most points in a season, Yeah alright lets all get behind him woohoo.......................

You want someone who can walk the walk after they talk trash....

Id rather have my entire defense talking all game than my number 3 WR act like he has done something in the league to warrant some listeners to his rant.

Crayton smokes pipe..

In case you all failed to notice, this team has had ZERO leadership over the last few years. Few guys step up and talk. We need that. We need attitude and confidence. Because frankly, this team has played without confidence down the stretch over and over again.

And for all the "walk the walk" talk, folks need to shut up and recognize the contributions that PC made last year. Crayton had an excellent year and was rewarded -- he had a bad playoff game -- lots of our guys did and that's why we LOST to the Giants. If you pin that loss on him, you have zero understanding of the game.

I hear you. I recall that as well. And I also acknowledge that the coaches, etc. see Crayton everyday. But, again, IMO, when I watch Crayton catch (sometimes with a bobble as if he might be fighting the ball) and I watch Glenn catch, who seems to make it so effortless in the way his hands bring in the ball, it appears Glenn has the better hands significantly.

The "big" major play I saw from Glenn involved him fumbling a ball out of the end zone in Seattle. Some hands.

I remain shocked that he got a pass for that crap play and while Crayton has been public enemy number one here since January.

I like Crayton and did not make the statement I did because it was Crayton saying it. Right now everyone in the media knows Dallas has the talent to go all the way, the fans know they have the talent to go all the way. I don't need to hear players talking about it they need to go out and prove it.

Talk is cheap you have the talent now go out and do the job. Philly did this year after year with all the talk, talk does not mean anything. Focus on the job and get it done the rest is BS

In case you failed to notice, leadership isn't 'talking', it's doing. Crayton talks and doesn't back it up, that's the problem.

The person who needs to "shut up" is Crayton himself. Like Ice said, the guy turns into Freddie Mitchell with a microphone in front of him.

And the fact of the matter is that none of the other players who struggled in the Giants game ran their mouths like Crayton did, that's why he gets the grief that he does.

I believe that we are all getting a bit too overconfident.

I pray that it does not affect the players' performance this season.

All this off-season praise and heightened expectations is a little premature for a team that hasn't been able to win a playoff game in 15+ years.

So far..to be truthful..the keadership on this team over the last 5 years just hasn't made it happen..

Tell me who's going to finally take control of this team and kick the necessary butt to get the rest of the team to get in line and leave it on the field every game and I'll tell you when we win a playoff game and a World Title.

So far..I just don't see the leadership factor there yet.

Too many players are too caught up in their pursuits of celebity and wanting to be paid at the top of their respective positions but they collectively have but a handful of successful things to show for it...mostly from a single season of '07.

I appreciate Crayton stepping up and saying things, also Bradie James and Tnew and certainly Romo and Witten offensively.

But I still don't think that is enough.

Others have got to step up and play 16+ games and show up every week to make plays as well as the expected few on this team that are relied upon to carry the load.

And amongst these players we need some visible leadership from the lesser players to supplement the stars already on the team.

So far, I think that is what is lacking..leadership at every level..from offense to defense to ST and accountability to that leadership from the rest of the players.

It isn't happening yet as far as I can see.

This team is going to be in for a dogfight every single game this year. Much more so than last year.

We sneaked up on the league in the early going of the season and teams were not really ready and didn't have enough tape on Garrett's offense and Phillip's defense yet.

They will this off-season. It will be like the old days where every team is going to be looking at their game with Dallas to launch their season or reverse some losses or create a measuring stick against Dallas to see how good they are.

Teams will be playing gambling, aggressive football against us from the first play to get leads and take us out of our game plans early of wanting to play our style of offense and defense.

How this team and it's leadership deals with this will dictate how the team holds up.

I don't think this team has proven anything yet except to find ways to lose at the end of each season.

Love me some Cowboys..

..but all this 'circus' is really going to make or break this team and Crayton and others who wish to speak up had better be able to leave it on the field every game and not disappear for 3-4 games during the season like we saw Crayton and some of these so called leaders do last year.

We'll see.

He nowhere NEAR Freddie Mitchell.

Crayton said he believed we should get to the SB and that he believed we were one of the best teams. Freddie Mitchell freaking called out opposing players like Rodney Harrison and his own QB. Crayton also manned up and has talked several times about his poor playoff performance.

Maybe you'd like something different from a leader. I've learned on this team we can't be picky because there ARE NO REAL LEADERS. So if Crayton wants to step up lets applaud him for trying to step up show some confidence.

Crayton called out the eventual Super Bowl champs and embarrassed himself and his team by screwing up and getting laughed at afterwards.

Sorry, but I don't see the same thing, I see a guy with diarrhea of the mouth who says things that he shouldn't. If he wants to lead, do it by example on the field, not in front of a microphone.

If a guy with some skins on the wall wants to "lead", let him do it.

Let Owens, Romo, Barber, Ware, or Thomas "lead", some guys who have actually accomplished something.

Their words carry some weight. Crayton's gum-flapping is just noise.

Better tell Zach Thomas that, he's way behind in the "talking" department.

This team has done allot of talking dating back from last year. Enough with the talk. Before the 90's team won their 1st SB you could not get them to say the S word. Go out and do it and when we are sitting in the NFC Championship and you want to talk SB then great until then it is just talk and talk from a team who has shown a habit of having a lack of focus.

Where were those leaders last year? I didn't see it.

Again, beggars can't be choosers. We have so little leadership on this team that we have to take what we can get. Crayton talked crap and manned up when he was wrong.

It was exactly that "skins on the wall" mentality that killed the development of leadership on this team -- folks looked to Woodson and other vets to say things and kept their mouths shut -- and what happened? Nobody developed into a leader.

If you look at this team and see enough leadership then I think you haven't been paying attention.

Thing is leadership has nothing to do with talking with the media. Dallas had leaders but it had more to do with pushing each other on the field, at training camp and practice. I have no issue with Crayton at all, I like him and think he can is a big help to this team overall. Right now I just want to see this team focus one day at a time, one game at a time and when we are sitting in the championship game it will mean something.

They were in the same place that 'big-mouth' Crayton and all of his talk were - home.

I don't see where he 'manned up' at all. Part of 'manning up' is admitting mistakes and correcting them. He may have 'admitted' he screwed up (although his commenst seemed to dance around it), but until he hits the field, he hasn't corrected them.

And a big part of why he got such criticism was because he talked a big game beforehand and came up small when it counted. Lesson learned? Stop talking. Doesn't look like he's learned that one yet.

Again, you equate talking to leadership, I don't. You think the actual talent on this team takes Crayton's mouth seriously?

The guy went out and embarrassed himself and his team last season. I'm amazed that none of them have come out and told him to shut it already!

Again, you make the mistake of thinking talk = leadership, the rest of us don't.
