I hope he gets injured I hope his tounge falls out of his mouth !

Hey man that's a little too far! He may be a loudmouth but you never wish injury on someone, even another teams player, let alone one of ours. They play a game dude and injuries are about life. I don't know if anyone else has said this to you. I had to stop right away and help you collect the realities of life. You never ever wish injury on someone unless your a real a$$jack and I've never noticed that about you before.

I understand what your saying, the injury I wish on him is That his tongue falls out of his mouth, Not that that's going to happen, but I certainly don't hope he gets hurt or maimed at all is was meant in jest

Keep the SB talk in the locker room fellas. We need to focus on a solid season, a strong finish and playing well in the post season. There's nothing wrong with talking and believing SB, I just wish some people would **** in the media.

Yeah Crayton has a big mouth but who cares what the rest of the NFL thinks. It is not a popularity contest with the other teams. We want them to hate the Cowboys, especially after the games.

Crayton had a helluva season for us, he has the best hands on the team, he defended himself responding to the Giants comments last season, and he had a bad playoff game and you guys are all over him. Chill out, the man can express his thoughts if he wants to. One bad playoff game and all the sudden he can't play, he's unreliabe, he's a blabbermouth. Unbelievable!!! Crayton balled for us, get off the dudes back...

Agreed Mansta. I can't believe some of the ridiculous comments about him by some on this board. He's owned up to his mistake (not "mistakes") from the Giants game, and moved on. I'll take his 50 receptions and 7 TD's from an otherwise 3rd WR any day of the week. Anybody on this board who would seriously think of getting rid of Crayton because of some premature bravado on his part last year is childish and inane.

Get real folks!

Why are there threads 5 pages long about how this team doesn't have enough fire or attitude but then someone comes around and shows attitude and it is another 5 page thread of how he just needs to **** ???

But he makes no sense, When T.O says getach popcorn ready he delivers , This guy is a clown cant wait to see this mighty mite on hard knocks

I would rather Crayton not talk about it (being a contender) and just go out and do it. I don't want hear all the SB talk go out and prove it where it counts and that is not in the newspapers or TV interviews. The time for talk is over!!!

To me last year is last year, Crayton is the one who has to live with that drop..(he also owes me a new remote) this year there needs to be less talk and more play

Crayton is the one off-season mistake that Jerry made. He should never have signed him to that contract. Nothing is worse than a player who can't back up his words.

Hey Crayton - this team was a contender last year and if you catch those two balls that hit you in the hands, the team might be talking about repeating right now.

I suspected this thread would go bad for Crayton from the beginning but it has gone worse than I expected.

Dude, pulling the "he owes me a new remote" card is sheer genius.

When you wear the star on your helmet, you expect good things. Cowboys receiver Patrick Crayton certainly thinks this will be a good season. At least, he's expecting one. In Crayton's mind, the Cowboys should definitely be playing in the Super Bowl.

"Right now, we're trying to get it right back," Crayton said. "Each year we take one step closer. This is our year where we have to take it. We should be playing in Tampa Bay come February 1. We should be playing in Tampa Bay. That's our ultimate goal this year.

"We're not just playoff possibilities, now we're contenders. As contenders, we're one of the top teams to beat, I believe.

"Who did we lose? Julius [Jones] and Anthony Fasano. That's it. Everybody else is back. The whole front five is solidified. The receivers are here. The running backs are here, and we've got two guys brought in for Julius being Felix [Jones] and Tashard [Choice], so you're getting two for one. That's usually a good trade most of the time."

Anybody disagree with Crayton's thinking about the offense?
-----------------------------

He's such a blabbermouth. Any players talking about making it to the Super Bowl next season is talking too much IMO.

But for this guy, the one who literally dropped the ball last season, to be talking is really annoying to me.

Try winning one playoff game first Patrick.

Fat mouths like this are the reason the rest of the NFL hates us.

And yes, everything he says is true. But that doesn't mean you start talking the talk when last season he couldn't walk the walk, or catch the ****ing ball with an open field in front of him!

i love crayton on the field but he's freddie mitchell in front of the cameras.

He said his drop ate him up and that he thinks about it every day (Crayton bashers didn't like that he couldn't shake that play and move on, btw), but that slowing to look back to Tony to verify his read on the second play happens and so that one didn't bother him as much. That's not shirking responsibility.

I have to disagree. You have to run your route 100%. In terms of the read, you have to TRUST your QB will make the same read as you. That play is a perfect example of what happens when you don't. Undoubtedly it happens where the same read is not made between a QB and WR, but his explanation sounds like an excuse. If he made his read, ran the pattern at speed but they read it differently so they didn't connect, it would be one thing, but that was not the case. You simply cannot give up on a route, period. I'm sure Crayton does think about that play, and feel bad about it, but to me it still sounds like rationalizing.

I agree with the rest of your post, but should add that it was the Cowboys organization that said he had the best hands on the team, and we just repeat it.

I hear you. I recall that as well. And I also acknowledge that the coaches, etc. see Crayton everyday. But, again, IMO, when I watch Crayton catch (sometimes with a bobble as if he might be fighting the ball) and I watch Glenn catch, who seems to make it so effortless in the way his hands bring in the ball, it appears Glenn has the better hands significantly.
