The 2007 and 2014 teams I believe they would.

lol... 2014? I'd like to see someone explain with a straight face how someone could have done any better than Romo did in those playoffs. He didn't throw a single interception, and his 125 passer rating was a whopping 25 points higher than the second place QB. But I guess old Troy, he would have grabbed some tobacco, dropped back behind his HoF line, faked a handoff to his HoF back, and threw 10 TDs to his HoF WR, and run out on the field and sacked Rodgers five times just for good measure. Because, duh... count the ringz dood.

He shouldn't even be in the conversation at this point. Thankfully, he has a couple more years to make his case.

Some of the numbers he uses about how many HoFers were on some of those teams kind of shows the sillyness of the rings value for the honor. If those teams had so many great HOF players, then it really diminishes the impressiveness of any individual who wins a championship on those teams. It illustrates that championships are a team accomplishment, not an individual one.

Romo's HoF worthiness is directly proportional to the Cowboys worthiness to hoist a Lombardi trophy over their head with Romo at the helm. So how close is he? Two years ago he was much closer.

He's a HOFer if you take in to account where he came from.

That will never happen for a Cowboys qb

So he'd probably have to make a super bowl to be considered

You've been a Romo hater from the beginning and thus have zero credibility. Go hide and quit embarrassing yourself.

This article doesn't actually answer any questions. Yes the general consensus is he isn't a hall of famer unless he wins a super bowl, but that's been known for years

Well, I read right here on this board that he's better than Troy Aikman, so he should get in to the HOF

Romo stats are better regular season than Aikman. Aikman, we know is way better postseason. No one said he was better than Aikman in the postseason.

Its not so much about Super Bowls with Romo. They will let you in if you dont have them if you were good enough. What will keep Romo from being considered is that he only has two playoff wins. He needs a few deep playoff runs to realistically get into the convo.

Well I don't know if i'd say he's not "close". His stats are up there with his peers. He doesn't have the hardware. So if that's what is considered not "close" then fair enough. But he even gets 1 ring he should be a 1st ballot HOF'er. He has everything else in his arsenal.

I think with his age and being realistic.......he may very well need a ring. If he has 3 or 4 years of playing at a high NFL level......i'm not sure if that's enough time for him to just string a win or two in those years in the playoffs. Maybe if he can get to two NFC Championship games in that span.
