What is it this off season that these inflammatory Romo articles are surfacing left and right. Let the man play and whatever happens happens.

We have these every year. Actually without counting my perception is the Romo sucks articles, threads and posts are pretty much passe....for the most part.

lol... 2014? I'd like to see someone explain with a straight face how someone could have done any better than Romo did in those playoffs. He didn't throw a single interception, and his 125 passer rating was a whopping 25 points higher than the second place QB. But I guess old Troy, he would have grabbed some tobacco, dropped back behind his HoF line, faked a handoff to his HoF back, and threw 10 TDs to his HoF WR, and run out on the field and sacked Rodgers five times just for good measure. Because, duh... count the ringz dood.

Romo played his best season in 2014. He had a great season any way you look at it. The problem is the ups and downs in the rest of his career. He has definitely matured and that is a good thing, but he would need several seasons similar to the 2014 season to be in the conversation to be in the HOF. Unless he wins a couple Super Bowls within the next couple of years, and plays great , he will be just another good QB in the history books, not a great one.

Gosselin continues to slide into a self-centered fixation with schadenfreude.

Did somebody sleep with his wife or something?

I guess we need to take Tarkenton, Moon, and Kelly out of the Hall of Fame. And I guess Farve barely got in.

As of today, no he is not Hall of Fame, but his career is not over so there is still time

Well if that's the case why are players like Martin, Waters, Too Tall, Pearson, Walls and numerous others not in the hall of Fame when they went to 5 superbowls? Why is Marino in with 0 championships? Why isn't Moose and Woodson not in with 3 championships? Why did it take Haley so long to get in with 5?

Probably although there are QBs in the HOF without a championship. However, they either played in SBs or they at least played in on Conference Championship game.

Why Tony Romo IS close to Hall of Fame worthy:
Because one can write an article titled 'Why Tony Romo isn't even close to Hall of Fame worthy'..
Means he is.

Id like to know the defensive ranking of the teams with the Qb's that have won a Super Bowl. I'm guessing many had a good to very good D. Very few, if any Qb's, just carried their team like we see in other sports.

Coaching and the total team are more important to winning in football than other sports. Imo

Because QB's are judged differently and Marino had a whole lot more playoff success than Tony.

The headline is way worse then the article. It's the classic clickbait formula.

Goose doesn't even really give us his own opinion on Romo. He just points out the most quarterback in the hall already have championships. This is something everybody who follows the hall of fame already knew.

Spot on. Felt like I knew the lack of a SB would be the the "justification" for this article to have a reason for being posted/published bf I even clicked the link; they got me:cool:

One strong performance in a Super Bowl that ends with Romo hoisting the trophy would immediately change the perception that he isn't HOF worthy. If that doesn't happen, I would have to agree that he will never get in.

Truth.

Somebody took a perfectly reasonable article and polluted it with a tabloid journalism style headline. I'd be pissed if someone did that to my work.
