I was in disbeleif reading the whole thread. You can apply this to any line of work where you change companies. If you leave Verizon to go to Sprint, surely there are some similarities being in the same industry, but you'd be a fool to expect the new guy to be right in line with the top performers within one week on the job. This is why companies have WEEKS of training!

Also, you have to remember, the Dallas coaches have to "untrain" him the Denver way while training him the Cowboy way. It takes time.

Oh, by all means, enlighten us on the minimal difference between the Broncos' zone blocking schemes and the Cowboys' man blocking schemes... to make it easier for you, focus on the job of the left guard in both schemes... discusss the difference in terminology in both systems...

I mean, since we don't UNDERSTAND what you see so clearly, you'd be doing this board a service by "edumacating" us...
Still waiting for his response to this.
But in fairness Bear you can just plug a new OL in Madden and it works, so it should work in real life.

It depends on a lot of different things so I don't think is even a fair question. Maybe if you narrowed down your extremely broad question some I could come up with a legitimate response

Reading a few replies in here make me sad that some of these people share the same favorite team as I do

Then respond to my post, Id like to know how you think a guy can memorize over 1,000 play variations in a week.

He isn't new to the position. He just need to remember what he did with the saints. He also isn't making an adjustment from College to the NFL. He is a veteran NFL lineman who has been in man to man blocking for the majority of his career. All he needs to do basically is put a body on the closet guy hold up at the point of attack and don't let anyone get passed him.

it's crazy, that how it's been explained countless times, and heck, even Flozell Adams explained that linemen have to be comfortable w/ each other, and the guy still doesn't get it
