But you aren't making much sense. You said that Irvin's off the field problems impacted his on the field performance. How? If you say something like that then at least explain it. He didn't miss games, he didn't affect his teammates, he showed up to practice, stayed late after practice. I'm not sure how you come to that conclusion.

His team history is that he worked his butt off all the way to the Hall Of Fame and was a team leader. On the field he didn't do anything bad. Let's keep it to that. He didn't cheat on the field which is the point of what he is talking about.

Not only that nobody is perfect and I'm sure every player and person in here has skeletons that are ashamed of.

Ok I thought I remembered him missing games. The reason why Jerry didn't pull the trigger on Randy Moss was because of Mike's off the field stuff so in a way it did affect the team.

The best thing to happen for Moss was not coming to dallas.

Broaddus has said many times that chan Gailey was the reason we didn't draft Moss. Even while at espn. The other host never followed up on it, probably because it doesn't fit the JJ narrative.

I think JJ was going de no matter what.

I think blaming mikes off field ways as the reason for not drafting moss is one of those sports myths along the lines of McGwire and Sosa 'saved' baseball.

I think he meant how cheating on the field impacts the game and it's integrity and the players on the field integrity. Not really how good of a person they are.

Aah, but you missed my other post where I said I was side-eyeing Jerry Rice now. I'm not picking and choosing. I don't believe I've commented on any other threads on this subject. Jerry tarnished on his own image, but my whole line of convo in this thread was about Irvin.
