If Roy is worth the 28th pick at 26 years of age, and maybe 8 good years left, shouldn't Chad at 30 years and 4 years left, be worth less?

Not to mention being such a nutcase.

T.O. and Chad on the same field? No quarterback deserves that.

So now Roy may play until hes 34?:lmao2:

The overrating of that guy on this board is outrageous. What makes anybody think he has a chance of playing that long? Is it because he hasn't taken football seriously since entering the NFL?

Is it because he already having nagging injuries?

I would take Chad Johnson anyday, month, year, century over Roy "the nfl is easy to me" Williams.

Or any QBs favorite TE.:

I don't see any benefit to bringing Chad, other than the fact that he's an amazing receiver, and I could say "HUGH!" after every catch without anyone knowing what I'm talking about. We needs us some youth. Either Boldin or Williams, or the draft. Ocho shouldn't even be an option. Hopefully the flood of "availability" makes the asking price go down for those stars.

If not, let's just draft Malcolm Kelly.

The board wars would be amazing.

Yeah, while I do think that Chad and TO would get along, but if things went bad, I wouldn't want those 2 in my ear. If there is one guy in the NFL that could make them not ride him, it would be Romo though. I figure TO might actually help if Chad got on Romo too much.

I think it would work out fine really.

Yeah, and then you have T.O. and Chad going at each other.

I know Romo has great people skills, but he shouldn't have to babysit both these guys.

As far as Chad saying he could play here, all I have to say is that old saying: What you are speaks so loudly, I can't hear what you're saying. No matter what Chad says right now, it's easy to see that he's an attention ***** who wouldn't like it one bit if and when T.O. got all the catches and the press.

And if Chad got them instead, T.O. wouldn't like it.

We need at least one normal player opposite T.O. That's one of the attractions of Roy Williams... He's not too much of a diva.

Chad also said he wanted to play for Philly. Chad also said he wanted to play for MIAMI(him and Sporano/Parcells would be an O-D-D combination).

See Chad walk. See Chad run. Etc, etc.

Yeah, problem is, Roy is more of what I would call a lofter. As for TO and Chad, I really could see them flourishing. I kinda think about how outsiders would say its going to be a disaster, yet they buck the haters. Both have been doing that their whole career, and I don't see it changing.

Now they might have some celebrations planned together, but I don't really see the problem being a big one.

Well, I'm going to throw this out there, though I know it will not be meet with favor.

If we can not get a good trade worked out for Williams/Boldin/Johnson, I think we should consider a WR like Henderson from NO. I know that nobody is going to love the guy but I think he might bring something to the table that could help our offense.

He's very fast. Like 4.3 kind of fast, from what I understand. They can't keep him.

Maybe Tampa Bay. They currently have like 12 WRs on there roster and Chucky is probably going to draft another one. They can't keep them all. I think they just signed Bryant. They have Clayton, Ike Hilliard, Maurice Stovall and they have Joey Galloway. I can see a couple of these guys being able to help us if we traded for them.

Tennessee is the same way. They have Moulds, Justin Gage, Roydell Williams, Brandon Jones, Mike Williams and Paul Williams. I think they just cut David Givens. What the heck happened to that guy?

I think there is life after Roy, Aquan and Ocho.

what would you do with any of those players abq? I wouldnt sign them off the street let alone trade draft picks for them.

Its time to get young in the secondary and at wr. Its just time. We have been chasing corners, safeties and wr for over a decade. Its time to forget free agency and trading and draft them. We have the veterans and the coaching staff to help them out.

Now having said that if they can get williams or boldin for 28 and a player or a late pick next year I would do that in a heartbeat. Boldin and williams are studs and they are good guys.

I was hoping we'd acquire another 30 year old WR!!!!!!!!!!!

Especially at the cost of a 1st rounder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exactly, I am sick of everyone thinking we need to bring in other team's "super stars". I can understand wanting L. Fitzgerald, but thats about it. TO worked out great and I was fine with that becuase he was really the first. But now it seems like every week most of y'all are wanting to bring in someone new. You build a team through the DRAFT, trading away draft picks for past their prime super stars, no matter how good they still are, is a sure fire way to end a dynasty before it even begins.

They would do that because they may not consider a 1st and another late pick next year a value for Williams or Boldin or Johnson. I'm not saying that what you suggest could not happen. I wouldn't pay that much but I'm not making the decision so........... If we can't trade for one of those WRs, then we need to get a Vet in to balance the offense. We can not depend on Owens, Crayton, young WRs we have now and Rookies. We need to get another Vet at WR. I mean, it would be nice to get a young top 10 WR but that may not happen. Any of these teams may be willing to trade a Vet reasonably and we can always take young WRs in the draft and develop them. We can still get young and add Vet help. It's not an either or deal IMO.
