We don't know the working of Marinelli's feelings. He is loyal to Lovie but that doesn't mean Jerry isn't effective in his own way.
Jerry is so driven to justify his tenure he'll give just about anything to those who can deliver for him. HC is the only thing that will
break Jerry's contract w/the Culthead and i don't see Jerry just stepping out of the way.

Sure but that is the thing about loyal people. Once they commit to something they stick with it. Now maybe he has a loyalty to Lovie specifically but if there is one thing that the military preaches -and Marinelli is of that mold- it's duty.

I don't think it out the realm of possibility that he might have some loyalty and duty towards this team. i think what is very key is the relationship between he and Garrett and I have no idea of that at all.

You need players first.

Remember when our OL consisted of the Costas, Nagys and Arkins? They needed to punch people in the mouth too. They couldn't. So we got real players. It's the same with the DL. You have a couple of keepers. The rest needs upgrading.

If Garrett wanted an offense similar to how we ran it in the 90s - my gut feeling is that he also wanted a defense similar to the 90s also. Just take a look at how these players play and the philosophy which Marinelli instills in his players. Everyone goes full speed and they all play assignment sound football like there is no tomorrow. Thus I believe Garrett has given Marinelli full reigns on what he wants done on defense so long the blueprint is similar to the 90s.

I actually love Marinelli fire and intensity. I think it compliments Garrett's calm demeanor. The whole team plays hard and goes hard for either coaches. Thus I believe they see eye to eye when it comes to defense.

This is really important for a coordinator. Most leave when they don't get along with the head coach. Thus I don't see Marinelli leaving.

We are 30th in the NFL in sacks.....................Marinelli needs to write that on the walls at Valley Ranch for everybody to see all day long and maybe they will be embarrassed into getting some sacks.

We have 1 more sack than the winless Raiders.......................that is just sad.
