Tim MacMahon: Horn blows.

Breaking news from Todd Archer: Roy Williams is getting X-rays on his wrist.

Gotta create a separate post for that. Be back in a minute.

WR Roy Williams is getting his wrist X-rayed instead of participating in the Sunday afternoon practice.
We don't know which wrist Williams injured or exactly when the injury occurred.
More to come.

UPDATE: It's the left wrist.

UPDATE AGAIN: The Cowboys are still awaiting results from the X-ray and an MRI.

Williams felt soreness in the wrist after using his left hand to break his fall when he got tangled up with Orlando Scandrick on a deep ball during the morning practice. The soreness got worse throughout the day, leading the Cowboys to schedule a doctor's appointment for Williams.

"We'll see where it is," Jerry Jones said. "It might not be anything structurally wrong."

X-rays were negative on WR Roy Williams' left wrist, which was sore after a fall during the morning practice.
Williams sprained the wrist and is day-to-day.

"That's part of training camp," Tony Romo said. "Little nicks here and there. It's nice when it's only a few days and you can come back. He's worked his butt off. If anything, it'll just help him have fresh legs."

Not good. Can't afford Roy getting hurt, especially when Miles can't beat out Crayton, and Hurd challenging for #3 spot.

its not like he's proven to be a #1 WR for us but this cannot be good. WE need him to show at least some form this year.

As for Matt Jones, i'm on the fence on that. ONly look at him if RW is seriously injured.

Come to think of it.... perhaps this is why Jerry "isn't filling that roster spot" left open by the release of Tim Anderson.
Maybe he wanted to see the severity on the X-Ray before deciding which direction to go.

Well, it's a wrist....at least it isn't a knee or achilles.

WRs have played with broken wrists before. Of course, it could simply be a precaution.

WG we should post these once something comes back from the tests...these kinds of things just hanging in the balance are brutal!

Should of gotten Vet Depth a longggggggggggggg time ago!

No.

This is why we have spent three years developing Miles Austin and Sam Hurd.

They will step up if a starter goes down, not some wackado from off the street.

As for Roy Williams, hopefully it isn't anything bad. I think he would have immediately left the morning practice in pain and the media would've picked up on it at once if it was a big problem.

Matt Jones anyone?

Absolutely not. I don't want some Roger Goodell pet cat cocaine dealer/user on this team.

I'm taking Slate's wait and see approach, but I still don't like the feeling it gave me when I read it.

The injury bug seeks continued vengence on the NFC East.

I'll update the thread title when more news is revealed.

Well

at least it will give people something legitimate to worry over instead the result of a preseason game.

;)

:lmao:

Isn't that the truth.

Nothing like the Dallas medical staff or trainers.
