Light years ahead? They both use the Air Coryell offense. I think if you take a closer look you'll see that they're the same. Compare the 09 seasons, the last time the Cowboys had an above average roster. Also Parcells was under contract for 2 more years when SP left for NO.

LOL.. Sean Payton's offense attacks the seams in one game more then Garrett does in a whole year...

Problem is, the article has him having influence back to 2004, and he was hired in 2002. He's been here for a lot of the poor decisions as well.

Sure but his opinion is one of many and he certainly wasn't calling any shots while splitting time with the Desperados.

I dunno to what extent he was actually bringing in guys (as in doing more than just building a report on a guy) before taking over half of Ciskowski's job but he's definitely got more pull now.

Apparently some if Stephen is crediting him with players before his promotion.

The whole situation is unknown really. He could have brought some duds in. I don't think Hayden is an impressive notch in the belt. He also could have brought guys to the attention of the staff that would have been good snags but there wasn't support for that player on behalf of other parties so the team went in another direction.

I'm sure he's had his duds but he's also being credited for a couple of good snags so who knows. I'm willing to see how things go under his direction as I think he's sort of displaced Ciskowski to some extent. Will it be different? Who knows.

It is being widely reported on local radio McClay is the de facto personnel chief with Stephen Jones as actual GM now.
Stephen was fielding calls, not Jerry.
Jerry can keep his title for life but it doesn't mean much except for more fan whining about nothing.
What does matter is reality of the job that gets done.
