Do you think the Dallas Cowboys could beat Jacksonville Jaguars?

The team who scores first in the super bowl has won something like 30 of the 40 super bowls. Does that mean anything concerning the next super bowl? :D
Yes, it means if Dallas is in it, I hope we score first. If we don't I'll be popping Maalox.

Obviously me. We know this for 2 reasons:

1: Hostile can never be wrong in the eyes of those on thos board, especially whilst debating with me
I usually give you the benefit of the doubt....

oh for about two posts. :)

2: You are a fellow mod, you will always side with your fellow board leaders, even if it's just to deflect attention from their falsehoods
You would be wrong...Like I never agree w/Juke that Yeager never brings enuff donuts to mod meetings.

And yes, I am being a grade A smartalic as I type this :p:
What's new?

Seriously HH, you speak in absolutes so much that you pigeonhole yourself into a corner. Hos quoted you twice where you spoke on the overall opening road record of the team. Nothing about the recent road record of the team. Nothing about the road record of Campo or Parcells or anything like that. And all you've done twenty posts later is try to wiggle yourself out of the very hole you put yourself in.

It's quite amusing actually. :p:

Put it to a vote HH.

Make your argument and I'll make mine. Anonymously if you're scared of my username.

I guarantee you that the smartest posters will all vote my way and it will be a landslide in favor of my assertions.

One last time, trust me. I'm not near as dumb as you're thinking I am.

You honestly think that the masses will agree that our all-time record on opening day, most of which was composed without any of our current players and coaches, has more merit to THIS YEARS GAME than our record on opening day under Bill Parcells, with many current players and coaches? You honestly, truely, believe that?

As smart as I know you are, I will not allow myself to believe that you see snese in such nonsense.

Smart Aleck. Lets start there.

It isnt out of the realm of possibilities to disagree with a mod. But at least have a valid argument.

I have disagreed with Hos, Reality, WG, MW, CBZ, and even LTN over the years.

But at the same time we all knew that there was at least a little validity to the others point.

Sometimes with you, you come out of left field and try to argue a point that is well... pointless.

Personally, I no longer have a problem with you. I even took you off of the ignore list. But man...settle down. Do your homework, know your stuff before you start to try to embarrass older folks who have been watching football longer than you were even though of.

We all make mistakes, we all make statements that are out there, mods included, but at least most of the time we can all own up to being an idiot for at least a second.
Post of the day.

Damn, that would've been a great image to put up...much better than my spin and win...

Again, I MUST missing something here, because I fail to see how Hos arguement has any merit what. So. Ever.

Until you can explain to me in detail how Roger Staubach, Troy Aikman, Drew Pearson and Emmitt Smith's opening day conquests affects this team, I have no alternative but to laugh at that assertion.

They have about the same effects on this team as Quincy Carter and Vinny Testaverde... who were the QBs when we lost many of those openers you referenced to support your point.

Again, I did not state it in the original post because I assumed everyone would know I was not reffering to the Cowboys of 30 years ago, but Parcells' current team.

Moral of this thread: Never assume on an internet message board

They do?

How many players and coaches from 1977 are on this years team?

More spin...or should I say more BS? :)

You were quite clear in what you posted...and you can't take it back. Sux for you.

Well that would be one lesson you've learned tonight.

Dude, you're clinging to the anvil. Cut the rope so the buoy floats to the surface.

2005 has more relevance than your entire argument where you were all over the board. Who argued that?

Uh, that would be the old guy in Arizona.

Correct.

Your original statement had no parameters. With no parameters that means everything relevant to the situation matters. Who brought up the relevant situations for this team?

Uh, once again, the fat guy in Arizona.

Correct.

You then tried to use home openers too, but decided to use random years. Who brought up the fact that you were using spin control?

Uh, the smart alec in Arizona.

Correct.

Yes, I am quite proud of our opening day history and I happen to think it is highly relevant. Far more relevant than hand picking parameters after the fact.

Yes, I know I am a homer, but I really like what we bring to the table. TO was just icing on the IMHO.
