Do you think the Dallas Cowboys could beat Jacksonville Jaguars?

hahahaha. NO!!! You no helmet wearing mofo. I was referring to HH representing the clueless.

But if you want to include yourself into that pool ... thats on you. :p:

Gimme a break, I have been taking in beverages since 5... AM. Then went to the Drag races around noon (stupid sun, and heat, then rain).
Whew.

I was blinking my eyes. I'm only an English major so forgive me not understanding what you wrote.

I don't know why he keeps it up when the facts don't support his contentions, but the guy is relentless. i think he refuses novacaine at the Dentist's office because he likes the pain.

Hmmm....I wonder who this can be applied to?

Obviously me. We know this for 2 reasons:

1: Hostile can never be wrong in the eyes of those on thos board, especially whilst debating with me

2: You are a fellow mod, you will always side with your fellow board leaders, even if it's just to deflect attention from their falsehoods

And yes, I am being a grade A smartalic as I type this :p:

I fail to see how stating our current opening day record is proof of cluelessness, but whatever....
Our current opening day record is either 1-0, supporting my contention.

Or...

18-7 for "on the road", which was the original claim. Again, supporting my contention.

Or...

It is our overall opening day record which means that I get to add the numbers from 16 home opening games.

I already said this...but trust me, that will support my contentions that on opening days we're the best in NFL History.

3 strikes.

I've been in many a football locker room, both as a player and a viewer, and I can say without hesitation that I have NEVER heard a coach at any level bring up a teams record from 30 years ago as motivation for an upcoming game.

Sounds like you have been in the losers locker room far more times than not.

Commanders and Cowboys sucked for many years yet the rivalry remains.

Jax needs any type of motivation they can get to jump start that offense, why not bring up the history and how good the Cowboys have fared over the years ?

People stand up to me in debates all the time. I'm not a Mod in debates. I just happen to be right and everyone knows it because it is a bragging point in franchise history that we are a tough game to open the season. On the road or at home, we've dominated to open the season.

The rivalry thing is different. A coach wouldnt say "hey, our all-time record agaisnt these guys is..." he would say "You, me, and everyone who cheers for us HATES these guys. Always have, always will, etc."

If a pro athlete needs the oppositions all-time record to get pumped up, he should not be a pro athlete.

On that we agree, and the hygeniest gets real cute too. Regardless of what she looked like before the gas.

Until you can explain to me in detail how Roger Staubach, Troy Aikman, Drew Pearson and Emmitt Smith's opening day conquests affects this team, I have no alternative but to laugh at that assertion.

I must be missing something in regards to that point, surely you would not keep throwing 18-7 out there just to avoid debating the reality of the situation, would you?

I'm not arguing that we arent the best team in history on opening day. I'm saying Parcell's Cowboy teams are not.

Until you can tell me that 2002 and 2004 matter more than 2005 then your original assertion has no merit.

Bottom line, no matter how you spin it, or try to, your first post of this debate was dead wrong and I told you it was. On that there is no doubt.

Put it to a vote HH.

Make your argument and I'll make mine. Anonymously if you're scared of my username.

I guarantee you that the smartest posters will all vote my way and it will be a landslide in favor of my assertions.

One last time, trust me. I'm not near as dumb as you're thinking I am.

So the fact that we have won 1 of our last 6 openers has less merit than our all-time opening day record?

Sorry, but I guess we will have to agree to disagree, because that makes zero sense to me

Smart Aleck. Lets start there.

It isnt out of the realm of possibilities to disagree with a mod. But at least have a valid argument.

I have disagreed with Hos, Reality, WG, MW, CBZ, and even LTN over the years.

But at the same time we all knew that there was at least a little validity to the others point.

Sometimes with you, you come out of left field and try to argue a point that is well... pointless.

Personally, I no longer have a problem with you. I even took you off of the ignore list. But man...settle down. Do your homework, know your stuff before you start to try to embarrass older folks who have been watching football longer than you were even thought of.

We all make mistakes, we all make statements that are out there, mods included, but at least most of the time we can all own up to being an idiot for at least a second.

The team who scores first in the super bowl has won something like 30 of the 40 super bowls. Does that mean anything concerning the next super bowl? :D

1-0 or 0-0, HH.

If you're going to limit the past, limit all of it. You can't have it both ways.

You're the only one trying to change what you orginally said. I said it was wrong, and I've backed that up.

Players and coaches are still here from those years. Again, using 2003-2005 really is the only fair comparison for this years team, however if Hos believes that our all-time history proves his point, I was simply pointing out that our recent history does not.

Basically, 2000-2002 doesnt prove my point, it simply disproves his.
