Dak was playing injured. Remember???Philly last season? We would've been in the playoffs. Against any teams with winning records basically.

I hear ya .I'm not applauding, just clarifying the facts and pointing out that the poster wasn't being fair or realistic. The point I was making is that It's not fair to hold a QB solely responsible for a team's record, but if you are going to insist on doing so anyway, at least be fair as to what the record is.
Yes, because its probably a longer contract than he wants. A longer contract means we have him locked in longer with old CBA/TV contract money. Which would make it a very team friendly contract.Since it's the off-season and we cannot seem to reach the Dak Prescott thread limit, I thought it would be fun to get a general summary of what everyone thinks.
As usual, I do not provide an "easy way out" option that most people would quickly choose such as "I want him back just not at that rate" because that's irrelevant and not realistic.
Let's just assume most fans would want him back for a low amount ..
So, the next question is, do you want Dak back at the rumored amount offered?
It is like removing the QB position form the team.I voted no, but this is a very tough question, and I don't feel it's a yes or no type of answer.
*laughs*@Reality, let people change their vote until the deadline to tag gets here. It's on the 12th not the 10th.
*laughs**laughs*
Polls are not very good or valid if you allow votes to be changed afterwards.
When you allow people to change their votes, people who vote early will change their votes to which ever option is leading the poll later on to be with the majority.
This is the wrong thread to post that in ..*laughs*
Sticky threads of important NFL dates are not vary good or valid if the dates are wrong.
The event on 10 March was moved to March 12th.
Absolutely!
Pay Dak his $35 million/$110+ guaranteed. He's earned it. Plus, he's our best option by far.
If the Cowboys refuse to pay him now, Dak is going to cost soooooo much more by season's end (2020) after Coach McCarthy helps Dak perform even better under his pro-QB system.
Pay now or suffer the consequences later. Take your pick Cowboys.

So if he improves so much under McCarthy..Absolutely!

Yep, just like we got rid of Romo.So if he improves so much under McCarthy..
why would we have to pay more to keep him?
Would he not just stay put and try to win with what is working?
This is where I do not trust Dak.
If what he wants is to win as a Cowbou..
having players around him is pretty important.
But if it's just he wants to be the highest paid regardless of wins and titles being won..
get rid of him now.

8-8? Is this thread about Drew Brees? Didn't he go 8-8 or worse in 4 out of 5 seasons?Yeah, because 8-8 quarterbacks are hard to come by.
Dak is being judged by what we've seen; the erratic throws, the lack of leadership, the casual way in which he approaches drives that end in failure, and the poor performances against tougher teams.8-8? Is this thread about Drew Brees? Didn't he go 8-8 or worse in 4 out of 5 seasons?
Or is only Dak being judged by the teams effort?
