Absent two picks in the first half the score is 14-7. Much more manageable game!
Absent the defense giving up another 34 points the game also becomes much more manageable.
It is OK to understand that Dak and the D both sucked, and sucked mightily. No reason at all to try to pick fleas and decide which had more blame. They were both beyond terrible.

This thread is about signing Dak. Thus the flea picking!

If you're going to demand to be the highest paid player in NFL history--you should be carrying your team.
*not* the other way around.

No way around that argument bro.
This isn't basketball. One player cannot carry a team of 22 players.

Agreed - but you have to agree that Prescott takes 95% of the blame. That's the point. And it is grossly shallow and foolish of fans to think the solution is to "let Prescott walk" and think that is going to pave the way to greater success in the playoffs. Dallas has a great QB now - we would be wise not to F with it.

The ony shocking thing by page 11 is that there actually 20% of people that are too scared to move on from Mr. 2-5 in the playoffs.

.....and that's with their multiple burner accounts too :muttley:
The other "shocking" thing is that 80% of other NFL fans would give their left nut to have Prescott as their QB1. Grass is always greener huh fellas.....

Romo choked that Broncos game at the moment of truth - just like the fumbled FG chip shot snap. That is who Romo was and continued to be after resigning him. Same will happen if we resign Dak. We know who Dak is by now. We know his ceiling. He isn't worth the money.
Romo didn't choke in that game. He just took a sack. Punting wasn't an option. When punting isn't an option, it causes you to force the issue. Can't take another sack, can't punt. That doesn't leave you with many options.

That was the team that went to the SB he put up over 500 yards against. What does our QB do against the team that went to the SB? A buck 53 and 3 picks. We don't even compete. And I think Dak has the way better team!! The 49ers aren't as good as that Broncos team either.

I really wonder why this is so hard to comprehend for so many people around here. Moving the goalposts to who takes the blame is absolutely hilarious. In the end they all sucked. And "all" includes QB1. But above all, he'd better not suck in a friggin play off game.

Nah - go ahead and trade our top 10, perennial MVP finalist, franchise QB for a replacement that would win 5 or 6 less games each season. Would be brilliant....... A QB with less offensive weapons and less quality coaching than the other top teams in the NFL still managing to bring you 12 wins per season. Good grief.
Dallas should sign Dak to a $60 million plus per year contract for at least 5 years. Lets make sure that Dak has less talent around him. Running back and defensive tackle are positions already being impacted by Dak's impending massive contract. Dak can't win without major talent to make him look good. Will dallas trade Micah Parsons because Dallas can't afford his new contract? You can't look at a delicious cake and eat the cake at the same time, its either one or the other, not both. I am looking forward to Dallas being mediocre for the years ahead.

The difference is ........ That D coordinator (who decided to play a completely different style of defense for that one game) is no longer here.

Dak is still here and wants to be paid the highest ever .......... for "the brotherhood"

Pretty much. As we pay the big 3, the team will flounder.

You are right - Dallas will be mediocre if the pay Dak that much. But it's not Dak's fault. Other teams like KC and Buffalo have managed to have franchise QBs and yet create an outstanding roster around them within the salary cap. Our owner is incapable of doing that for some unknown reason. And by the way, on the few occasions when KC had gaps in the roster, they didn't win SBs. And Buffalo still hasn't. Again, it comes down to how do you replace Dak if you let him walk. Name any QB that would be available next year that makes Dallas better. They're not out there. And saving 20 million a year for an inferior QB is damn sure not the answer. It's been proven over and over.

How does KC pay their "big 3"? How do the eagles pay their "big 3"? The Lions? Jerry Jones and co. just suck when it comes to roster / salary cap management. They also gave Prescott and his agent every bit of the negotiating power years ago. That's on them.
