Does a Cowboys win or loss effect your next week?

It use to piss me off if we lost until the next game. Then when we would win, I'd be happy then nervous until the next game.

Now I'm sometimes numb to it. If we lose I get mad for about 30 mins to an hour and move on to something else.

I don't allow the games to take a toll on me anymore.

I invest so many emotions all week long in the anticipation of a win almost every game. When it doesn't happen, hell yeah I get bummed over it but I'm right back on the wagon anticipating a win for the next week in a matter of 24 hours.

When I was in high school my grades would plummet like the stock market after a Cowboys loss. Luckily for me the Cowboys were starting the dynasty stretch.

Fast forward 45 years, it still bugs me most of the week especially when you have to face the haters. I would guess somewhere between 4 & 5.

Go Cowboys!

for me used to be a 4 or 5 in the old days the 70's and early 90's now its pretty much a 1 i expect in the end i guess they will find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory especially in the playoffs any more its all about money and glitter and has been so long since they have been relevant in the playoffs and superbowl chase just dosent matter like it used to

What's funny Is that a loss probably affects the fans more than the players. They are heading to the club and doing they thing while some of the fans are weeping themselves to sleep.

Me? O hell to the naw. Win or lose I'm in the saddle afterwards and sleeping like a baby after that

I tend to teeter-totter between 3 and 4. I get over the loss after a few days but until then, it bugs me a lot. The 1st few days are tough. After that, I'm readjusted, primed and ready for the next game. I've always been highly competitive and really hate to lose. It's the same during and after games when the Cowboys play. My emotions really come into play. I sometimes take a day off from commenting here, just to collect myself after a loss.

I've been at all 5 of those at one time or another. I could probably add a few levels from my youth.

I must say @xwalker made a good point. He mentioned watching game tape. I think any level of replay
tends to take the sting out most times. However, based solely on my location, a loss to the 'skins is damn
near unbearable. Sometimes I seriously wondered if assault charges would come from simply leaving the house...
but I'm better now... just as long as I keep up with the meds.... lol j/k

5. My whole week is good or bad based on a win or loss. ( no exceptions)

yes.

that playoff loss hurt for weeks. the 2015 season was incredibly hard to get through. the 2014 packer loss was a complete joke, and 2007 hurts more than anything else.

Here's the thing for me: After a win, I just can't get enough info. First, I watch any other game that is playing after the Cowboys game. Then, I watch NFL Channel, I read every article on the internet and I come here and discuss the game. Then I watch Monday Night Football. It is a whole lot of fun. It goes on for about three days. Monday morning QB. The team that Dallas beat, I can go to their forums and read what they think. It is just a blast and what football season is all about.

After a loss, I don't want to see anything or read anything about the Cowboys or football in general. I won't watch any other games. Monday night football is out of the question. Coming here and reading? Huh, I'd rather be boiled in hot oil than read everyone complaining about everything to do with the team.

All of the fun stuff that happens after a win is yanked away from me for about 4 days.

It's miserable. Basically, my cup sucketh over.

How can anybody that has watched Cowboys football for the past decade not become completely numb to the pain by now?

As long as JG is calling the shots, I fully expect to pull defeat from the jaws of victory.
