You don't let stars return kicks or punts. At least not very often. It is just to risky.

I love both garrett brothers. I just hope all the coaching changes wont effect us. I like the way stewart was at that meeting on the last episode of hard knocks

Once again if what Felix did his freshman year was him running wild then I wonder what you consider what Dmac did.

Nice pie chart.
Yep. Shows what McFadden, Jones and the rest of the team did running the ball. I also added the other chart which proves how much Arkansas depended on their passing game. That may come in handy in anyone's evaluation of how valuable both McFadden and Jones were in the Razorback rushing attack.

Well, almost anyone's evaluation.

wheres the year Felix Jones sat out ??? why did CJ attempts go down so much in 06 and 07 ????? Do you know that CJ went to ECU as a WR At first ????? Why don't you have TD's, Receiving yards receiving TD's. Everyone knows that CJ and Felix are not every down pound em runnings just just posting running totals proves nothing. your missing CJ stats from his freshman year....

1. just in case you haven't figured this out yet, we're talking about RUSHING.

2. Johnson was the #1 RB and in on redzone plays. obviously, he's going to have more TDs than a #2 RB that's taken out on redzone plays.

3. I left out Johnson's freshmen year to match the stats up year for year.

4. Jones missed more time than Johnson and still put up about the same amount of career yards in a lot less attempts.

are you done yet?:lmao2:

Jones enrolled at Arkansas in 2005, after he originally signed a letter of intent to attend Oklahoma State. He also turned down scholarship offers from Tennessee, Texas A&M, Kansas, Louisiana State and Nebraska. He became the first true freshman in school history to earn first-team All-American honors (as a kickoff returner), when College Football News named him to its postseason team.

Felix could be a very good asset to our offense. I'm not convinced MB can make it through a season so starting RB if you will. And yes, Pacman is a star.

IDC how much of an asset to our offense we are the only team in the NFL who are not trying to utilize their play makers to up most. Felix Jones didn't take any snaps with the first team last week. MB3 more than likely wont hold up with his running style. IDK how much Felix spelling Mb3 is going to help. However saying that a KR of his caliber shouldn't return kicks because he might get injured is just garbage.

ok, I'll admit maybe I was wrong about that. could've sworn he was injured a year. REGARDLESS, like I've said it this thread and the other thread, Johnson has a year over Jones and only put up about 30 yrds more with about 240 more attempts.

do you have a paypal account? I'll send you some money so you can buy a clue...

2005:

As a tailback, he rushed for 626 yards and three touchdowns on 99 attempts. He ranked second on the team and 10th in the SEC in rushing with an average of 56.9 yards per game.

Jones and McFadden tied for the SEC lead with 6.3 yards per carry.

He is just the second Hog in school history to record two 100-yard rushing games as a freshman.

An honorable mention freshman All-American at tailback by The Sporting News.

Honorable mention as an all-purpose back by the Associated Press.

In his Razorback debut, he became the first UA freshman running back to rush for 100 yards in his first collegiate game and only the ninth UA freshman to rush for 100 yards in a game.

The Tulsa, Okla., native racked up a game-high 137 yards and one touchdown on eight carries against Missouri State. He earned the league’s inaugural SEC Freshman of the Week award for his efforts. The 137 yards was at the time the third-most by any freshman in a game in school history. He boasted a 17.1 yards per carry average against the Bears. His 137 rushing yards rank sixth on the UA record list for rushing yards by a freshman in a single game. He set a UA freshman record when he dashed 80 yards for a touchdown early in the second quarter. It was the longest rushing touchdown by a Razorback since Fred Talley darted 81 yards against Central Florida in 2001.

He recorded his second 100-yard rushing game of the season against Louisiana-Monroe with 102 yards on 14 carries and a career-high two touchdowns. Coupled with McFadden’s 125-yard rushing performance, the players became the first UA freshmen duo to rush for 100 yards or more in the same game.

He rolled up 66 yards on 11 carries (6.0 ypc) against South Carolina.

Just a few more details outside of his kick return accolades.

lol you can have successful kick returns without using stars. You can win games without taking punts to the house as well.

Of course however Felix Jones All American KR we aren't going to use him at KR this ridic. We might as well have Jason Witten play DLine and line Canty up at TE.

I could believe that I don't really care to much for football that happened before I was born. But as for current NFL I will disagree with you totally. Just because my views differ from people doesn't mean I have a lack of knowledge.

Sorry you don't agree..but there are other people that do agree with me.

Which only proves that you're not the only Cowboys fan in here who really doesn't understand the game of football...

You simply don't show everything you've got in preseason... you don't tip your hand when the games don't count... example-- one of the Metroplex Mediots wrote a coupla days ago (sorry, can't remember which one) that the Boys have yet to use Felix Jones in the games in the same way they've been using him in practice...

But each and every year, this board gets overrun with dilettante football fans like yourself who simply don't understand what PRESEASON is all about...

It's about looking at the guys at the bottom of the 80 man roster, most of whom will never play a down in regular season for the Boys... and it's about keeping your core players healthy for the games that count...

And that's ALL it's about... at this point, we really haven't seen the special teams units that will line up on Opening Day; at this point, we really haven't seen the blitz packages that they'll be using on Opening Day... what we have seen is a whole lot of marginal players who are about to be looking for jobs...

Like I said, each and every year I've been on these message boards, it's been the same tired crap from the doom and gloomers... and like I said, this Chicken Little epidemic serves one useful purpose, in that it allows us to identify which of our brethren don't understand that game of professional football...

Welcome to that club...
