Does anyone else think different and better coaching could help Dak?

KM has to go. Dak needs an OC that can make better in game adjustments. Dak is responsible for his mistakes, but I don't think KM gets the most out of this offense. He passes too much in the red zone in IMO. To many times on second and short he passes or runs a stupid trick play. The offense seems to speed up instead of relaxing and taking its time. If a new OC does not work, then trade Dak after next season or let him go in two years. Look at Hurts. They design an offense to make him successful. This JG offense has to go. Very rarely do they throw deep.

He needs playmakers. We had Lamb most of the season at a high level, Pollard was decent but not enough.
This^^^^

We must release Elliott and draft another RB while probably franchise tagging Pollard who is great but not sure that every down back we want to invest a big long term contract in.

And TE is an issue . Not sure Dalton is the Star we need to invest in long term but no doubt our #2 receiver after Lamb. Gallup is the big question mark. A flop for his big contract signing. Hopefully that’s more about recovering from his injury . But we must also either draft another slot receiver and or pursue one in FA.

We must have talent playmakers on offense which can uplift our QB. Our QB isn’t enough to uplift average talent around him.

And G2 this isn’t directed at you but your keen insight spurred my response. Thanks

I absolutely think Kellen Moore and that JG based offense need to go. Interview a bunch of OCs who have the best offense and plan for Dak and see if he can improve. If he doesn't, let him walk in two years. But keeping Moore and that JG offense is just status quo. Another 12-5 year and first round exit.
Exactly what we are looking at. Winning 12 games a year is great. It's fun. But winning in the playoffs is better. We aren't heading down that path with status quo.

Nope, Dak is hindered by his own limitations. If he can't hit slants/in routes and good defences can sit behind 4 man lines and play to Dak's weakness there's no scheming that'll overcome the leagues book.
Better to get him to take a pay cut and build our O-Line and keep Pollard....at least that will force Defences to unstack the secondary.

I think as Dak enters his 8th season, he just is what he is....... if given enough time, he can be really good. The problems pop up when he is pressured and looking at a zone. He is also pretty terrible thinking through clock management at the end of games. Not sure if better coaching can help. But since we are married to him, might as well give it a shot. Clearly him and Kellen can't figure out a way through the SF defense and they are the main obstacle to a super bowl. Maybe a new OC would have some different ideas about how to attack that defense?

I think that Elliot takes a pat cut and Pollard will not be tagged because of the injury.

In other words, would he be a better player or better production under Shanahan or Andy Reid........
Yes but mostly because they would make the weapons around him better and only ask him to do the things he excels at...not because he has another "Pocket Passer" gear they could unlock.

I have been screaming this for the last couple of days. Dak is not going anywhere for several years so hire a QB coach and OC that can work with him. At the end of the day, they cannot read defenses for him but make it simple. Yes, dumb it down and stop throwing these impulsive passes. Design a game plan so that he ALWAYS has a check-down option.

No. IMO we move on from Dak after two more years. It's just my opinion, but you don't keep a QB that is not elite 10-15 years. You move on before then. The QBs that stay on the same team until their mid to late 30s are usually QBs like Brady, Big Ben, Brees, Hall of Fame types.

Average Qb garrapolos 6million salary allows the Niners to put pro bowlers all around him….

Average Qb Prescotts 40 million salary doesn’t allow the Boys to put pro Bowlers all around him

Prescotts 160 million salary is supposed to mean that HE’’S the elite player……not a turnover machine.

we can get Landry, Lombardi, Shula and this dude would still be a failure in the playoffs
I understand but that’s on our dysfunctional ownership.

We must figure out how to work around that overpaid contact . Instead of hyping him as Elite.

And best way is thru the draft on Rookie contracts to surround Prescott with more talent at RB, WR and TE.

You put him on SF, KC, Cincy or the Eagles this season and none of them are in the final 4. (ok, there is a super slim chance he might get by on SF or Philly due to their run game but its only best case scenario thinking)

He is simply limited and yeah you can put some different makeup on him but at the end of the day the shortcomings are still going to be there and they are going to be magnified whenever he needs to do something besides be carried by those around him.
With the coaching they have combined with the players (we will see if the cincy oline sticks) good chance he is the same place. KC would look diferent but Ried would scheme for Dak to stay to his strengths...NOW no doubt KC has MUCH higher ceiling with Pat at QB

We would be better off as an organization once they stop treating Dak as an elite quarterback and more of a game manager. He is not a Mahomes, Burrow, Rodgers and etc.

Would definitely flirt with the idea of interviewing new OC cordinators. Treating Dak as a legit pocket passer is beyond a ridiculous approach. Then throw away any JG plays immediately.

Dak was drafted cause of his ability to make plays with his legs. We have seen he is still capable(not as great though obviously) when he wants to but he still looks afraid to run and will only do so when 100% necessary.

Dak lacks skills hitting recievers in stride which limits the play book greatly however sticking to these post / curl routes is beyond stupid. Plays great in play action. Need a coach to focus on establishing the run game and not abounding it while creating non JG play calls for Dak.

At the start of the seasons KM has all these great plays, motions and etc then slowly fades to JG playbook. Make no fn sense

I saw another post that said switch QBs and Dallas wins comfortably. Whereas I get the premise, I suspect Kyle Shanahan would have killed Dallas with Dak at QB over Purdy.
