With the coaching they have combined with the players (we will see if the cincy oline sticks) good chance he is the same place. KC would look diferent but Ried would scheme for Dak to stay to his strengths...NOW no doubt KC has MUCH higher ceiling with Pat at QB
I acknowledge everything could go perfectly .... but we should be in the final 4 if he had just been solid.

I understand but that’s on our dysfunctional ownership.

We must figure out how to work around that overpaid contact . Instead of hyping him as Elite.

And best way is thru the draft on Rookie contracts to surround Prescott with more talent at RB, WR and TE.
Im ok with RB and WR in the draft but not tight end

Ferguson and Hendershot are more than capable…..we can pick up 3rd TE in FA if needed.

IMO we move on from Dak after two more years.
I agree with this BUT before we do, let's see if another OC and/or system can help. Let's not forget, he's proven he can get you a winning season AND to the early rounds of the postseason. So we are looking for a QB that can guarantee us an NFCCG or more?

Tony Dungy and Bucs had a very similar situation........he was fired, not for winning or making playoffs but for NOT advancing far enough.

Coaching will have a minimal impact on Dak. He is who he is now. His issues are not mechanical or physical. They are mental. A sports shrink might do him more good than a new coach.

Also, to all those claiming Dak is a game manager, no he is not. A game manager has control over his game. He is not aggressive by nature. Game managers are smart and do not make mental mistakes. Dak is none of those things and never will be. Dak is a would be playmaker whose football IQ does not match his athletic ability, and even his athletic ability is a bit shy of an elite playmaker.

True very true, and the thing is you can not hide it, BUT if we go back through the calls and play hindsight (again its much easier after it happens of course) KM and Dak's ego's are probably one of the biggest problems we had. Not saying KM is a bad OC just saying that he may need a diferent kind of QB to have playoff success with it and thats just not an option here right now.

Yes, we should trade him cause he deserves better coaching! Let's see how he does on another team.

What does Jerry think?
MM needs to man up and go to Jerry and say, hey, we need to replace Kellen, get a scheme that is not as predictable. And surround Dak with a lot...A LOT ... of talent.
AND we need to make the defense even better, one that can protect Dak.

Now by saying that, remember when the offense needed ball and TOP control to protect the defense...well now flip that. Need a defense that can take over games consistently.

However, then look at t he FO and if you think they will change their philosophy, we are kind of crazy.

There is a pretty good core team here. And they need better coaching in a few areas. As well, every team will tell you thy need better players.

Does anyone else think. different and better coaching could help Dak

- Philly manage to change and develop Jalen Hurts into an MVP type candidate, he was laughable his last two years.
Greatly helped that management went clever and deep to supply Hurts with significant weapons in pro bowler AJ Brown and drafting Devontae Smith
to go with upgrade in coaching.

- Rookie late round pick Purdy is one NFC conference title game away from the Super Bowl,. strongly supported by great coaching and terrific player personnel cast.

- Geno Smith, a former 1st rd pick, has had a bust career and previous thought of as a mere journeyman type, (ala Teddy Bridgewater) but under Pete Carroll-Seahawks
totally resurrected his career into a pro bowl year (russell wilson who..?)

- Detroit Lions fired their OC, hired a new OC, and have been trying to scheme and supply Jared Goff with better coaching and players.
Resurrected in previous hapless Lions organization.

Players themselves and surrounding situations different.
But there clearly has been case made for QBs becoming improved under the right situations and surroundings.

Did you happen to catch Goff after he left McVay?
Yeah. I also saw McVay get him to a SB his 3rd year in the league. Goff has played well in Detroit but it is probably a lot easier to be a QB there with zero expectations than the bright lights of LA where winning is necessary to be relevant.

Average Qb garrapolos 6million salary allows the Niners to put pro bowlers all around him….

Average Qb Prescotts 40 million salary doesn’t allow the Boys to put pro Bowlers all around him

Prescotts 160 million salary is supposed to mean that HE’’S the elite player……not a turnover machine.

we can get Landry, Lombardi, Shula and this dude would still be a failure in the playoffs
This!

What Dak did to Jerry Jones is nothing short of elder abuse.
