Does anyone think JJ Wilcox will get benched?

No. People tend to forget Wilcox played safety just one year in college and had an injury interrupt his rookie season a year ago. Let's give this kid a little more time; because he's a faster and much more athletic option back there than Jeff Heath.

Not sure all of that is true. I think Heath is faster maybe more athletic; in tights. I think Wilcox is a better player in the long run. Best hopes are both can play. They're both fast and can tackle and hit.

Wilcox is another Genius Jerry development project which mediocre teams like Dallas cannot afford. This front office has got to start drafting best available players from big college programs. Enough of the projects.

here you go again...

heath had that child abuser locked up at the five...was about to plant him in the ground.

durant came in and knocked him off..

pay attention now..

Notice the TE actually. Best shot at the 38 second mark where 86 physically grabs Peterson, who's headed for his butt, under the arm pits and lifts him up. Pretty sure that's a penalty in the NFL.

I'm a known Heath hater but that dude is damn near an elite athlete in underware. Someone said Gil Brandt considered a score of 70 when you add BP reps, broad jump and vertical as being elite, Heath was a 69.....Not a good safety by any measure though

I have a lot of respect for DeMarcus Ware. He's forever a Cowboy.

Your avatar, thoughts, signature etc belong to you. OTOH, you could honor the guy in a Cowboys' uniform IMO but your avatar is yours to do as you will. We can all respect that. I love the guy and it doesn't bother me one bit.

I hear Matt Johnson is still available...

In all honesty Matt Johnson looked better those 4-5 plays against the Dolphins in preseason a year or two ago than Wilcox and especially Heath have at any time but the china doll couldn't stay on the field

If we are gonna make a switch, I'd rather see us give sterling Moore a shot back there. Could he really be worse than Heath

Me either, anyone else I would probably be like WTH but I cant find it in my heart to hate on Ware no matter how hard I try.

He's at no point in his life shown the ability to play defense well. Yet he's the Dallas Cowboys starting FS. Think about that.

The fact of the matter is that he shouldn't have been drafted as high as he was and he should have never been asked to play so early. You don't go from playing D2 WR/RB to playing FS in the NFL in the matter of 2 years. And the fact that our front office didn't/and still doesn't recognize this sums up a lot.

or maybe this is what they have to play with and their going through the growing pains /it doesn't sum up anything

One of these decades we'll draft a safety who shows instincts and has actually demonstrated top ability in college.

Fortunately, 2020 is only six years away.

If Willcox doesn't continue to grow I am sure the safety position will be address soon.
there were a lot of fires all at once to be put out.

I agree up to a point; at least first few picks.
