EaGirls did pretty much the same thing the Deadskins did and the result is the same. You figure that JG and his crew would have figured something out to beat the blitzing defense.

Did they? I have to admit, I was a bit distracted today, but that's not what I saw. They pretty much just beat our LG, or beat our guys straight up. I didn't notice them shifting, or blitzing into the shifted gap. But I'll take a better look during the week.

We need to add talent for both players and coaches.

I wouldn't touch the coaches.

The scenario Garrett won't survive is being 8-3 and ending up 8-8.

I would imagine losing five in a row and missing the playoffs would not get him extended, yeah.

Even 1-4 the rest of the way might not get him extended. To be in great position at 8-3 and to end up 9-7 missing the playoffs wouldn't be acceptable for most owner/GM's. Jerry isn't like most owner/GM's his ego is at stake here.

I wouldn't think so but if the Cowboys lose to Chicago next week and with Philly and Indy up next that would make 8-8 a possibility.

Yeah, if I lost my legs, I would be a double amputee.

As hard as it is to fathom that they might do it. Chicago has enough talent on offense to give this team fits. Their defense sucks, but look at the output of this offense today.

No scheme is going to help when you don't execute well. Look at the PHI game in GB a few weeks ago if you've forgotten already. Talent and culture win games in this league. We need to add talent.

You can't out execute teams in this league being that basic.

There has to be some dynamics to our passing game instead of hoping and wishing someone makes a play.

When someone can't make that play and you can't dial up anything to beat a blitz or get the ball into a players hands then you lose.

Chip Kelly's put his team in position to make plays today and confused our defense.

For the Cowboys to beat a team we have to impose our will and man handle them because our scheme won't do anything to confuse a defense.

After today.......Anything is possible. Playing not to lose gets you beat...and is a trait of a loser.

Jason Garrett gives you no advantage on the field as a coach but I don't think we'll ever got rid of him as long as Romo is our QB.

Just because we have a OL and RB that can impose their will on teams doesn't mean Jason Garrett is all of a sudden a good coach. Our passing schemes are still poor and guys disappear.

Btw, spending big money on Dez Bryant is a waste of money in this scheme.

They weren't the exact same type of blitzes but they did blitz us heavily like the Deadskins.

There is evidence of Garrett's lack of success. His record against playoff teams, his overall record, and the lack of a playoff appearance are all facts.

It seems to me the reasons to keep Garrett are all cliches, feelings, and opinions.

There are people here with an agenda who just need to believe Garrett is the answer and are okay with extending him if he fails to get the team into the playoffs yet again. At least the Garrett doubters and haters were willing to concede that he deserves the extension if he led to this team to the playoffs this year.

If collapsing to 8-8 meant Garrett was gone. I hope it happens.
Nothing gained, no advantage on gameday with him as HC.

So who do you want as coach then? We've had many different coaches since JJ including Parcell's ... What success did he have? He was 34-30 here and 0-2 in the playoffs, that is better than JG ... not by much and he never won more than 10 games. The 1 constant is the owner and as long as he remains GM I don't see this team winning any time soon ...
