Does Garrett survive this scenario?

This thread is up after every game. Lol. I see no reason garret wont be here another 3-5 years. Do I want him to be no will he be? you can bet on it.

If Jerry doesn't mind the team getting out coached week in and week out.........I guess it shouldn't bother us fans either.

How can you have a HC in the age of parity that doesn't give you any game-day strategic advantage? Eventually rebuilding a neglected offensive line around an aging franchise QB, that was gifted to you in the first place, doesn't qualify for reinstatement IMO. It's hard to imagine that Jason can out-coach any respectable opponent after being demoted from play calling responsibilities now, why do we think that he can do so in the future?

I know old chipper of philly is all the rave right now ... but he arguably had better talent in philly when he got there. Jason inherited a 1-7 team that was old ... I believe the oldest in the league. Chipper inherited McCoy, Maclin and other pretty good players. I believe there are only 4 players remaining from year 1. But I do agree if they miss the playoffs he should be gone.

I just worry that Garrett will never give us any kind of edge schematically.

Dallas needs to evolve and captain basic can't get us there.

My thinking hasn't changed in years on this topic. We need to keep doing what we're doing and add more talent on defense.

Yeah I know. With these schemes we need the best roster in the NFL.

I don't even know how we could get better players offensively and we still struggle on that side.

Thoughts on what happened to the offense today?

It was awful. Tony looked bad, we had miscues and, most surprisingly, got absolutely man-handled up front.

But I don't think it was a trend, and I don't think it's a necessary indication of what's going to happen the next time we play them. Generally speaking, we're set in terms of offensive talent. Our defense needs attention still.

No scheme is going to help when you don't execute well. Look at the PHI game in GB a few weeks ago if you've forgotten already. Talent and culture win games in this league. We need to add talent.

EaGirls did pretty much the same thing the Deadskins did and the result is the same. You figure that JG and his crew would have figured something out to beat the blitzing defense.

We need to add talent for both players and coaches.

I don't think it's a trend either. But good lord I didn't expect our O line to disappear either. I don't like our chances in two weeks either. Not with the pace Philly plays at with our defense. I do expect a closer game though. If not we still have serious coaching issues, more than I thought we did.

If they'd given us this much trouble last year, I'd be more worried about it being a trend. I think, had Witten/Tony not stalled that adjustment early/had Frederic not killed another third down with that mistimed snap/had we just played better on third down, overall, this might well have looked like a different game. There are many weeks this year where we put together a drive at the end of the first half or at the beginning of the second half, and then we've got a ballgame. When we couldn't even convert inside the 10, you knew we had trouble. But the fact that the Eagles were themselves railroaded two weeks ago make it clear that a team can come back and play a very different game against a quality opponent in the NFL just two weeks later. Now we've got our work cut out for ourselves.

Garrett didn't inherent jack. He was here before Wade Phillips.
