Since 2013, when the temp is below 40°
70 of 103 734 yd 10 td 1 int 116.7

If you examine his entire career it's not good in cold weather. He was apart of two big losses in December 2008 to Pittsburgh and to Philly in a season finale elimination game. Don't recall the temp but he lost a season finale elimination game to the Giants in New York in 2011.

What's wrong with his contract right now? Low year one salary for a player of his ability, no guaranteed money to speak of, and a club option on the following two years.
It's an uninformed opinion. His prorated all stays here so his cap hit would be 14 million, 19.5 million and 20.5 million the next 3 years with a free out each year. Anyone saying that his contract is why a team wouldn't want him is wrong.

In fact, the contract is so team sided, Romo is the one who will want the deal reworked because he's not guaranteed anything.

Jerry can trade him without asking him his opinion. That's pro sports. I'm sure he wants to find Tony and comfortable landing spot that's obvious

Yeah. It is.

It also is how you build a crap franchise that no one wants to play for.

No good owner would ever embrace your perspective. Dumb owners certainly would.

I said this a month ago; although Houston seems to be the best fit, I really dont think Jerry wants him in Texas...marketwise.
In Peter Kings article, freedom in the offense is a huge want for Romo. He's not getting that from O'Brien. He's going to make Romo fit in with HIS offense, so I just don't see it if that report is accurate.

I get the feeling OBrien would be a hard head coach for any QB to play for.
So yeah, that could be a flaw in the Houston thing.

The harder I look at this, the harder it is for me to see a team that Romo would like to play for tradi g for him. If/when hes released, things would get better...imo.

The last thing Jerry wants to see is Romo lead the other team in Texas to the Super Bowl. If Romo ends up in Houston it won't be by trade.

If it's a trade he doesn't like he'll retire. I don't see Jerry trading him to a team he doesn't want to play for because Romo has leverage retirement and TV opportunities which would nix the trade.

I can honestly see him playing for a crap team before retiring. He's a fierce competitor

Chicago isnt that crazy. It puts him close to home.

Some are bringing up the Bears but they need a young quarterback to build with. Don't see any point in moving on from Cutler and bringing in a short term answer like Romo who you can't look past next year with. Yes Romo is much better than Cutler but within a year or two they're going to need another quarterback because I don't see Romo staying healthy. Even Cutler had injury problems.

He may be a fierce competitor but he also realizes time isn't on his side and he wants a shot at the Super Bowl. Crap teams are years away and need to build with a young QB. Romo is a short term answer for a real good team that's a QB away from competing for the Super Bowl.

I read that if Romo retired after getting traded his new team could recover 12.5m from Romo for unused signing bonus ......he is only 3 years into a 6 year extension which included a 25m signing bonus

Why would the new team receive the money when they didn't pay a penny of that? That doesn't make sense.

He has a lot of say. Jerry will be sure of it and all Romo has to do is leak retirement to the press or refuse to rework his contract and it will kill any trade talk.

Exactly. The Pats Jimmy G is a completely different case. He can't realistically threaten retirement.

Romo could threaten it--with enough force that it would suffocate any trade to a team like Cleveland or the Bears.

Jimmy G is a young QB looking for an opportunity to start regardless what team it is. Romo is aging with health concerns and has TV opportunities once he leaves football. The only reason for him to continue playing with the health issues he's had is for an opportunity to lead a good team to the Super Bowl.

The only thing that's going to make it worth it for Romo to continue playing football and risking further injury is a chance to play in the Super Bowl. No reason to keep going unless he's on a team that has a chance. Just isn't worth risking his quality of life after football playing for a team that needs to rebuild or has OL issues. If he has all these TV offers coming his way it's going to give him something to think about, especially if he doesn't see a good opportunity of having success with the teams that want him.
