We found a place to do that. We need to get her home tomorrow from hospital and hopefully have more than a few hours. Pets are our children. My pup will have as much peanut butter as she wants. Until she’s in heaven. I’m sorry for your losses God blessWe had two dogs die of cancer. We had them both put down at home when they got bad. I'd recommend doing that. Both got to go out eating rotisserie chicken and ice cream.
I almost didn’t click on this based on the title because I knew it would be depressing. My baby of 9 and 1/2 years just got diagnosed with bladder cancer she has only a few days left. I don’t know what I’m even doing right now. My wife and I have no kids yet. She was with me since she was 12 weeks old. She was a brindle and white puppy and had little freckles on her face where the brindle and white meet. Her name is Dallas and I didn’t name her it was her name when I got her. Meant to be. These next few days will be the hard to say the least. She and our other dog are our world. Thanks for letting me vent
Why a non kill shelter? Wouldn't it be better to save one from being unnecessarily put down?I almost didn’t click on this based on the title because I knew it would be depressing.
I have no words man, sorry to hear this. I’ve become a huge animal softy in my older years and losing a best friend is the second hardest thing I’ve ever had to deal with. They’re loyal and always there for you. Every time you come home their mug is there to greet you. I lost my cat of 20 years ~2 years ago and I still miss the little guy.
All I can say is that the pain will eventually get better and now you have the chance to save another animals life. When you start feeling better, go to a non kill animal shelter and adopt another best friend. You can never replace the one you lost but will find another pet to love just as much and it will love you even more.
Best wishes man, that sucks.

The Rainbow Bridge may be the only thing that saves me from getting a whooping when I get to Heaven. The first faces I want to see will all have four legs. I'll look like Moses crossing the Red Sea with the Hebrews considering my many critters.Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

On my shepherd's 10th birthday, the vet told me he had a large tumor on his stomach. He said he could operate, but there was only about a 10% chance he'd live another couple of years. I took the chance, and it turned out he actually had a spleen torsion, and when the vet took out his spleen, he was good as newish. Unfortunately, his autoimmune disease got him two years later, but it was worth the $2000 to me.If you could get 6-9 months with your best friend aka baby puppy would you if there was a chance with a good quality of life possible?
*COPY* friend, while my advice is free, please pay heed, what you really should do is drop the $75 to $150 bucks it costs to have you're local mobile pets " dignity in death" windowless white van show up & administer that final nappy-nappy sleepy time shot,,, tho ,,, only if it's of an "non-Asian" owner/ operator franchise. ( as they lay claim to cremating them after hauling them off,,, but, concerning my opined view of others culinary tastes? I wouldn't utilize their services if say?,,, the driver was a Chinaman,,,just saying)My baby of 9 and 1/2 years just got diagnosed with bladder cancer she has only a few days left. I’m looking at $6-7 k and I don’t have it but could get it. I honestly don’t care about the money. Yeah, I can see it both ways. I like to support the places that don’t kill but I see your point. I got nothing. Why a non kill shelter? Wouldn't it be better to save one from being unnecessarily put down?
If I thought adopting only from non kill shelters would put the others out of business or make them change to non kill, I'd say Hell yeah, do that! Unfortunately...Yeah, I can see it both ways. I like to support the places that don’t kill but I see your point. I got nothing.
How about just adopt a furry friend?

I'm sorry for you as well.I get that... I spent a fortune on my Mini-Aussie after he lost his front right leg in an accident...
Unfortunately he is 13 now, and that single front leg has developed severe arthritis. He falls a good bit, so I can feel what you're going through as I will face the same thing this year sometime...
It seems even more unusual for two dogs to run off and not come back. Do you have coyotes near you?I kinda relate to how you are feeling. A couple weeks ago, our dog and our neighbors dog disappeared. Nobody has seen them and nobody has any ideal about what happened to them. Our dog was a Great Pyrenees mix and everybody in our community kept treats for her and some even let her in their houses so that they could play with her. Maybe somebody picked her up, but it is unusual for two dogs to be stolen at the same time. My neighbor’s dog was a Blur Heeler.
Yes, these are some big dogs though. I don’t know if coyotes would take them on or not.It seems even more unusual for two dogs to run off and not come back. Do you have coyotes near you?
