Doing absolutely nothing

...that's on Mr Jones as per usual.

He's a nice guy, a family man. Who doesn't like stir things up.

Firing Eberjoke would fix the defense at least 40%.

So, this is where we're at. Enjoy the season. Dont make promises to yourself. ...lol
“He's a nice guy, a family man” — fathering a child with another woman while married would seem to contradict your statement (unless you’re being sarcastic).

same one that has been sent for years when they sit on their hands during FA with glaring needs.
Honestly, I'm exhausted. Year in and year out, for decades, watching the buffoonery and hoping for a miracle. There's a certain amount of stupidity on my part for expecting them to right the ship when it's clear they are fatally flawed at a fundamental level. The defense is something they invest in unwillingly and to the least amount possible, largely because they're so enamored with the flashy offense they spend everything on propping it up. Given their skewed priorities, what real chance do we have of ever having a defense worthy of contending? A splash FA added mid-season might help, but that immediate gratification will come at a steep price and will not fix the fundamental problems,,, the defense will still suck.

The absolute worst thing Jerry can do right now is trade away draft picks. Please look at the big picture. This team is winning nothing if they trade all the picks away for defensive help. Jerry has so many brain washed into thinking winning games is something.
Dallas will have a couple of reinforcements joining this defense, that just might help win a tight game when you need one. I am talking about Overshown and Revel, if these 2 players can come in here and stay healthy, they could make a difference and bring some chemistry to this unit. Common sense must prevail, sign George Pickens if you can this offense is a strength, keep it a strength. Build this defense in April through the draft and free agency period in the offseason.

If we were 5-2-1 that may actually matter, but we are not.

Common sense is spend more money on offense, when we could end up with the worst defense in NFL History?

Yes, let's sign Pickens, Williams and Aubrey, then draft more injured college players and hope for the best.

and there's the question that must be asked... they need to know who is running the defensive show before committing resources to fix the defense. If they're sticking with Eberflus then they can go after the players he wants now, if not, then they have to wait.
Sanborn was an Eberflus request.....

Well, if you're able to examine past history, the fixes they bring in generally don't work, or are aimed at the wrong areas.
Rambo and history arent very cordial.

Guy thought they would win 11 games this year, and that they were contending with 3 wins in week 8.

Also thought they had a fantastic off-season. Improved the roster. Somehow.

Guess whats coming next. "injuries".

Have you seen any difference? I’m talking accountability
Unfortunately, at the end of the day, this is Jerry's team, his business. We are all fans to that and he's really accountable to no one but himself. Hence why I stopped putting any funds into his pocket years ago. I'm still a fan, but supporting minimally as I would anything else that I look at as just entertainment.

Not sure what type of accountability you're looking for, but it's not going to happen unless he's broken the law or conducted himself like the previous owners of the Clippers and Commanders. As you see in the Jets and Bengals, it's okay to be a bad owner in the nfl as long as you show some minimal moves and don't do anything crazy.

How do you know what they are doing at this point?
That's fair, but they need to get a move on it. This team cant piss away any more games. If there's any chance at improvement make it happen.

This season is over.

Prey for 5 wins and a top 10 pick.

You are better off spending the rest of your Sundays watching whomever is playing GB.

The best thing to do right now is anything that will set them up for future success.

This means
- not trading any draft picks
- exploring trading any player not considered to true core player
- giving younger guys a chance to play
- not having anyone play through injures that could linger or effect playing time next year

Im not saying tank bc they wont do that, but get the team to extract as much value out of this year as possible bc they are toast competition wise

Jerry is exactly trying to extract as much value as possible, by maximizing ratings and having a prime time schedule. Wins are secondary.

I’m all in for your suggestions but isn’t that considered tanking?

Sometimes the right choice is to do nothing. Doing something at this point is going to further setback the team. There is nothing to be gained by running out and overpaying for pass rush. You wrecked that in haste to get rid of Parsons and I guarantee you it won't be solved in haste.
